There was a massage about my video card or something... So i reinstall it and try it again and the same problem it wont even start... Can someone please tell me what i can do to make it work? And on my computer this game should work fine... 2.3 GHZ / 512 Ram / GeForce 4 MX 440

And by the way this is what the massage says: Engine requires video card whit pixel Shader 1.1 or grader capabilities. WHATEVER THAT MEANS... IM REALLY GETTIN PISSED OFF HERE BECAUSE I DID NOT GIVE 50$ AWAY FOR SOME GAME I CANT EVEN RUN ON MY NEW COMPUTER

This post shows most cards that won't work.

Dude, it says right oin the box it excludes MX cards. All the requirements about pixel shading are also right on the box, so don't get mad when they blatently lists what you need. The game has been put out poorly enough without people getting mad because they don't know how to read.

uh......... no it does NOT says anything about that And even if it did i would NOT KNOW WTF IT MEANS all it says is GRAPHIC: 32MB DirectX 9.x compatible 3d graphic cards... thats it

Yeah, and on my copy, which must be a magic copy, there's an asterix next to the video card system requirments, which says the cards it's compatible with and that it excludes MX cards. Tell me they forgot that on your copy.

Sometimes it's best to ignore the pretty pictures and read ALL of the text:

supports cards of geforce3+ (excluding the Geforce4MX) class

I don't think any card will be able to run it without any problems right now. ;)

However, a $165 Radeon 9600XT would be a worthwhile upgrade:

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-102-326&catalog=48&depa=1

On the Nvidia front, a $150 FX 5700 would be the nearest equivalent:

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-130-180&catalog=48&depa=1

It'll be a bit slower than the 9600XT though. You could go with the 5700 Ultra, but that costs more than $180

If you want to stick with Nvidia but don't have as much money, then a $140 Geforce4 Ti-4800 would be an option:

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-145-040&catalog=48&depa=1

However, it's an old (slower) card and won't last as long as the 9600XT or FX 5700.

Take a look at the reviews on www.techreport.com and www.beyond3d.com (or skip to the conclusions) before deciding. There are also other cards to consider, but you can browse newegg yourself for those.

Yeah, I agree. I don't think any cards run it smoothly right now. Sorry if what I said sounded harsh, but this game really peeves me. This is just irresponsible. Eidos isn't my "buddy" who can just show me the game and say "Isn't this cool? someday i'll finish it!" They're a professional company and this is pathetic. Does anyone know how or why there are so many posts on the regular message boards? How are THEY playing it?

If you have $150 to spend definately upgrade the MX card.. If you do much gaming it's a worthwhile investment even if 'this' game runs like crap right now..

Me personally I use a Geforce FX 5600.. A lot of arguing goes both ways over ATI and NVIDIA, and to be honest I think both companies have some real shady crap going on with their tests, I have always used Nvidia, always been happy, so that is what I buy.
