Okay, this may be a small thing, but where are all my registered games? Also, I can't register new games because the code format is wrong. SE Members inserts have a 4-4-4-4 code, with a mix of letters and numbers. I know the point system may be gone, but what gives?

Maybe so, but from an end-user perspective, it's all one and the same. Our profiles and registered games disappeared with the forums; now, the appearance of the new forum software coincides with people's profiles being jacked up, and the inability to register new games.

Is there any way that our old Square Enix North America forum profiles from before the backend merger can be merged with the new ones that are automatically created when we first sign in to the new forum with our new backend accounts? For example, this is my pre-backend-merger profile (http://forums.eu.square-enix.com/member.php?u=119) with all of my old posts stored on that, while this is my new profile (http://forums.eu.square-enix.com/member.php?u=9792), with no posts (except for this one, obviously) credited towards it. Is this another thing that you guys are working on?

When I log in under my profile it shows the wrong email address, how does one change this....it does not let me under profile or settings...?

Plus it had me as UK language and when i switched it to US the nickname in the main profile is the same, but it changes the nickname in the upper right corner to something really strange...lol

What a mess, different log-ins for forums vs account vs website. Game website does not have forums must go to loadstone site....lol, wish they would just hire on some Americans to handle their databases and websites, so it will all be fluent.

^ Thanks for the screens, that will be most helpful to get to the bottom of this. I just had to thumb them in your post, as they were quite large and stretching the forum's layout.

Thank you very much! One last thing to annoy you with, though this is much more minor, in my opinion: The icon next to a user's name that denotes when they're online or offline seems to be inverted. That is, it's green next to someone that's offline and an empty circle when someone's online, which is the opposite of how almost every forum that uses an online/offline status circle functions.

Also (I really shouldn't say "one last thing," huh? :P), the Square Enix logo in the header of the forums links to the UK English website, while the home icon directly below it links to the US English website.

JB2448, we think we solved the issue with your accounts. Please can you try the following:


Go to SEM: http://membership.square-enix.com and make sure he is logged out (logout here if not)

Go to the forums: http://forums.eu.square-enix.com and log in

Check to see if everything has migrated.

The import was done because we decided to upgrade to vBulletin 4 and we'll be hosting other, larger forums here in the near future as well.

Your account merging with your SEA forum posts was done to give you ownership of your imported posts.

As for user interface - if you have any specific feedback or suggestions, please feel free to state them here and we'll be happy to look at them :)

Why am I in EU forums? Is this normal? I'm fine with it, but is this where all the other US people go to? My first time here, so I'm just double checking. I mean I was just in NA FF website then I click onto profile and I'm taken to EU.

EDIT: Funny... I'm now in the NA side as well in my browser and this post is on both sides... w/e.

The sites have been merged. There is now one single forum for all users.
(On a side note, the NA site has [currently] been replaced with FFVII's. http://na.square-enix.com)

Really? Certain people still have what appear to be original photos for theirs... (?)
If not - I hope this changes, it's kinda dumb.. Especially when so many of us recognized posters more by their image than by their sometimes obscure usernames..

This merge is appearing worse and worse as time goes on..
I hate changes like this... why fix something that isn't broken.. (FB anyone?)

As far as I can tell, you should be able to upload a custom avatar.

Can you provide some screenshots?

BTW, merging this thread with the forum migration feedback thread, so to keep everything in one place and so that replies will get to my attention quicker (I'm subscribed to that thread) :)

I'm having the same problem too. I did the account migration on the left side of the login screen, but now all my registered games are gone and I can't add any more because the code format is wrong.

The merge didn't work for me either... I'm having the same issue that JB2448 had... I cannot provide screenshots but have followed the same steps as him and nothing seems to be transferring.. :hmm:

(And all my registered games are also absent...)

It looks like it worked to me. Your post list it comes up with a bunch of posts you made before the migration, all the way up to August 2012 - http://forums.eu.square-enix.com/search.php?do=finduser&userid=9691&contenttype=vBForum_Post&showposts=1

There is an icon next to date joined and all that, there is a small pencil looking thing within the box, by clicking it I get a list of default photos - no where to add in my own image.
Can someone direct me to the page you all used to access your own personal image? As I said idk if I'm even trying from the right spot - this merger is a mess! Why is everything more difficult than it needs to be :scratch:

And as for a phone number for (NA) CS - the forums didn't used to have it listed (dunno if they do now) I once looked for over an hour trying to find a number - they make it super difficult to gain access to a human being. That's why I also asked if anyone happened to have the number on hand.

I bought FFXIV via Steamlogin, because Sqaure Enix told me, that my email is allready taken.
Now i cant log in, i dont have a password. The only way to log in to my account is via Steamlogin. So on 24. August im not able to play the game because in the FF Launcher i cant log myself in. Im not the only guy with this problem, please help!

Is there any way to change the E-mail information on your Members account?

I can up date all my information with user settings and even change my Profile Tag name, but there is no option anywhere that I can find on how to change my old e-mail to a new e-mail.

I do not want to use any old E-Mails for FFXIV:ARR just in case it was compromised some time down the line. I had to reactivate my account from FFXIV but its been 5 years since I last played, I want to keep my Legacy Character and account, but I want to change to a new E-mail.

If anyone has any ideas on how to do this "Hopefully a Developer or GM" will answer this post, and help me out on to fix this E-mail problem

Thank you so much! I had a feeling I was in the wrong place lol.

BTW, I just spent 3 hours trying to link up to a chat response to try and get a NA CS number, as soon as I was 3rd in the queue - my comp froze and reset on me... so yeah, wont be trying that again. I have also tried sending an e-mail asking for a number, if I get anything I'll be sure to post it here!

Shouldn't be so hard to show the games I've paid for :p Hopefully all of us with this problem can get it sorted out soon! :)

Came to post this same thing. My account is all messed up. Says I joined 2 or 3 days ago (I've had this account for at least a year) and My registered games are gone. Not only that bu when I try to register a game (FF14) the serial I have doesn't match the format they want it in so It's impossible to register it again. What's going on here?

Just got off the phone with SE support - Apparently the website is still undergoing a maintenance for the merger, I was told our games are NOT LOST - simply not showing up prior to said maintenance (?).. When I asked for an estimated time frame on said maintenance and when I'd know for sure if everything did indeed carry over I was told they have no way of knowing how long it will take. So helpfully unhelpful I suppose? lol at least there is hope not all is lost.

Just got off the phone with SE support - Apparently the website is still undergoing a maintenance for the merger, I was told our games are NOT LOST - simply not showing up prior to said maintenance (?).. When I asked for an estimated time frame on said maintenance and when I'd know for sure if everything did indeed carry over I was told they have no way of knowing how long it will take. So helpfully unhelpful I suppose? lol at least there is hope not all is lost.

When I log into my account, I'm brought to an "Almost done!" screen. All the info about my location, birthday and security question are already generated, but the Nickname is left blank. I enter in my nickname (Dkside) save and am immediately brought back to the same screen. I cannot progress to the main page unless I change it to Dksidez. I attempted to change it in the Basic Settings screen on the user settings menu. It saves my entry but then my nickname disappears from the top left of the screen near my avatar picture and the forums still reflect the original name change at login (Dksidez). It happened again when I logged in a few minutes ago. I was able to use Dkside again but unable to use Dksidez. I know it's confusing, but this is the best way I can describe it.

Found another issue: Within the forum in Settings --> General Settings under Login & Privacy I have invisible mode set to on. Even though I have these settings saved, I'm still showing up on the Currently Active users list. Not sure if my other privacy settings are currently working as to who can see my profile either. Just making you aware. ;)

This is normal. When you set yourself to invisible, you can still see yourself in the who's online list, but other members won't see you.

I'm a new member and have a question about attachments. I went to the faq and read instructions on how to attach files to threads, but when I create a thread, my permissions don't include attachments. Are attachments banned from the forums?

1. When returning to the forums I'm always logged out, clicking login instantly logs me in without having to enter any details, but is a little irritating. I'm guessing a cookie thing but as it's tied into the SE account system don't know whether you can alter it?

2. I visited earlier, came back half an hour later, logged in and every thread was marked as unread again. I can try and get in the habbit of marking forums read after each visit, but might also be linked into a cookie thing?

Ok, so I registered my game through the PS3, then created a Square Enix account using my Steam account, registered my game on Square Enix, and then tried signing in to the game on PS3 with no luck. Turns out Square Enix gives a separate username besides your nickname... So, by logging in with Steam, I never received that email, but now my game is linked to that account.

I created a new account as a test, but without Steam, which I received an email with my username, but now can't register my game to that account.

Is there any way to unregister a game from an account, or merge the accounts, or what should I do?

Greetings everyone. I have a few problems. First is that Nosgoth General Discussion forum after I made my first post is using Square-Enix skin and not Nosgoth one. The only options I can choose from are either SE or mobile skin. Nosgoth main, Tech support and off-topic work fine.
And I really don't like SE skin :p. The borders are hardly noticeable unless I change the brightness setting on my TV. I know it's a problem on my end but I'd love to see something with higher contrast.

The bigger problem is that my user name from Eidos forums has already been taken. I'm wondering whether this may cause any problems with the account synch that is about to occur. I would really like to see my former user name back but I realise it may be impossible. However if that account was created after my original one at EF 4 years ago, then I think that at least I have some kind argument for it (this is an unavoidable merging after all).

On a side note, user panel still gives acceptable avatar size as 80 x 40 when it actually seems to be 50 x 50.
Edit: the borders of avatars are also messed up in SE skin but work fine on Nosgoth one.

Sorry if any of this has been already addressed before.

Log out and back in. That should solve it.

This is not a problem. In fact, it's a good thing!

What we did when creating the new SEF a few weeks ago was locking all Eidos Forums usernames, so that no one can "steal" usernames from EF members in the meantime before the EF migration happens.

When we'll migrate EF to here, you will be able to re-claim your original name during the synching process :)

Edit: the borders of avatars are also messed up in SE skin but work fine on Nosgoth one.

A known issue that we're still looking into.

I understand that could be annoying. I'll flag this and see what we can do.

Does the "remember me" box not prevent this, though? Or are you using a public computer and do you have to sign out after each visit?

I don't have to sign out but it's a good habit to do so. "Remember me" is more of a workaround than solution. Another problem is that while I'm "remembered" but not logged in I'm still displayed as online. That can leave a bad impression that I'm spending all my time here :p.

Nothing to worry about. AFAIK, passwords are hashed before stored in the database.

In short, it's horrible.

After repeatedly trying to login and reset my password, it took me some time to realise that the username/email address text box is case sensitive. This resulted in minutes of frustration (it mightn't sound much, but when you can type username/password in ten seconds... that makes for a lot of attempts). Seems like the forum script is using strict equality comparators.

Then of course, there's the incredibly difficult to read CAPTCHA text. I can't really understand why this is needed as it's created an un-welcoming barrier to these forums. Previously, I had given up even registering because I couldn't make it out, and yesterday I gave up trying to login because the words were simply illegible. I think removing it entirely is better.

Also it would be really nice for the header/logo to link to the forum home, like it t'where in the old Eidos forums :)

Hopefully some constructive feedback :)

Anyone else incapable of changing their e-mail? I'm following the links, but I can't change my e-mail since it's using my SE account and it's greyed out and won't allow me to alter it. I did send you a PM about it Driber, but I've not heard back. Is there something I'm missing or is it locked for me? If so what will happen when it's linked with my EF account which is using a different e-mail.

I successfully migrated from the old members.square-enix.com/na site, but the games i reigstered are gone, namely the hitman and deus ex ones...is there not going to be a fix for this? and its not like i can re-enter the codes, the formats for product registration are totally different.

There is no solution as of yet... Supposedly they are working on sorting it out, but it has been months since the merge and we still are yet to get a single update on the matter. The suggestion is to not register any new games in the meantime... but who knows....

This is a known issue and indeed is because the last PM on your PM page screws up the link.

We can't fix it yet, I'm afraid, as it's a vBulletin bug and it requires a software update to solve it, which we can't do right now.

Best workaround for now is to click on the "my forum profile" link from the forum's home page; it works there.

Okay, Square-Enix has been very port happy when it comes to iOS with announcements such as FFVI , Final Fantasy IV After years remake and the Dragon Quest games I-VIII. On top of that all the ports that exist on the platform now such as Chrono Trigger, FFIV, FFV, and FF tactics. What is the likely hood of seeing more Square ports on the iOS? Another question, when will the Eidos forums migrate into the square forums? To my understanding it's happening, but when?

We've implemented a notification menu under the forum banner. It will visually display if you have any new PMs, VMs or friendship requests. It is highlighted when you have notifications and turns back to the normal navbar text color if you have no notifications.

Assuming my "Old account" on what was Square Enix is dead and gone and ignoring how annoying that is....

I've made or verified my "New Account" through Xbox Live... as the forums can attest to.... The codes don't work, because the physical code in box don't meet up the the separated Letter and Number groups, they are mix series of number/letters... the format isn't remotely the same.

But... my question and point is... if i am sitting logged into XBL and in the game hud... telling me my Status is Linked... why does my profile here tell me i don't have any game registered... i would think if nothing else this would be proof positive i own the game... yea?

Even if it was just a matter of loading each game and having to reverify them one by one... that would be acceptable... because it would be a clear resolution to this issue. It could get around this old Product Registration Card mess... seeing how I just bought Tomb Raider on 11/11/13 for $30 which came with the Hardcover Comic (which is pretty cool, i might add) .... and now my copies of Deus Ex, and Hitman: Absolution no longer show up as "Registered" obviously because this account isn't associated with where ever my original account is...

Anyway... it didn't give me a "This email is already associated with another account" prompt.... and yea I'am still using the same email, so no issue there.

Baffled, confused and annoyed...

How about this as a "test", my ps3 version of the game will not let me log onto FFXIV:ARR. I tried to get to customer service and tech support with no email responses what so ever. The number I did find for Tech Support is out of the country and more than likely, the people do not speak English for me to find any results to my problem. Sadly, my email, PSN account, Facebook account, AND CC is linked to my account... where is the help we need on these forums? I find this forum a joke when it comes to customer service and Tech support!! None of the Square Enix officials never check their own forums to see if there are any re-occuring problems with their log ins or members.... what a sad fate for a RPG Empire like SE who says they care about their customers, yet so a different face on their forums and community!!

I've been a member of the NA SE Account for years now, and I haven't done anything on here on awhile, but decided I should come on and pre-order FF10HD Collectors since its exclusive online. So yesterday when I got on, it made me create this new account, and link my other one, which it said it successfully did, but I've encountered some problems.

Under my profile, it says I've been a member since 08/01/2014 which isn't possible, and I had over 10 games registered on my old account, and now, it says I have 0. Also, none of my personal information was transferred over, and I don't know if it's supposed to be like this or my account is just bugged.

Just wanted to post on here first and get other people opinions before I start putting all my personal stuff on here and pouring money into pre-orders.

Any input or advice is appreciated, thanks!

I don't think I used my old account from SE NA to posts in forums except for registering my games and rewards. Apparently, my SE NA account was still under my very old email address even after I changed it to my new email address and that is before this whole system switched to the new system.

Btw, the email I received to recover my old account was sent to my old email address even though I changed my email address to the new one before this whole migration thing started.

I honestly have no idea how this migration can be problematic. Electronic Arts had no problem migrating all EA accounts from their old system to the new Origin system.

Hi all.

I've tried searching the support FAQs for an answer and there also appears to be no way to contact SEnix about the following issue.

Just purchased Thief today and setup a Square Enix account to register and get the app etc. During account setup I entered my email address and validated it when I got a return validation email from the company.

I automatically log in when clocking on the supplied link and start going through my setting preferences and see tha my email address has been recorded incorrectly. Its missing the .au in my email address. I wantto update my address and see that it is not possible to update or change email addresses once you have nominated an email address.

Any ideas or knowledge on how to change my email address?

As the title says, my original account made a few minutes ago for ordering two games is suddenly suspended and I am not able to get into the account due to "suspicious activities".

I am right now on a new account I just created and I wish to know what is the random cause of this and how will I be able to access it as I do want to check my order review and get the latest info on it as soon as possible.

*Edit, I also forgot to mention that every time I do try to log onto the Square Enix page, it either says "Invalid password" or even "Invalid email" something like that yet I do have the email from them at the email account, amazing.

Testing to figure out what my Square Enix ID really is..

OK, so it says my ID is Rustmane_Skytrekker, and yet, when I go to log into FFXIV, it won't even let me type in my full ID, nor will it let me enter my entire E-mail addy... When I try to recover my ID through the game, it sends me an E-mail that doesn't have my ID anywhere in it.. yet it claims to be confirming my ID. This does not help me. When I click the links, the only thing it does is try to reset my password, and I have no idea what the security question or answer was that I picked.. I have 10 other sites that ask me the same BAD questions that do not have any particular answer.. how am I supposed to remember this one out of all of them?

I will have it known that I've forced myself into 155 hours of gameplay for final fantasy 13, and I was refused an achievement that I know for absolute certain I should have obtained. I got EVERY accessory and weapon upgraded, never selling anything and using the internet to never miss anything. I've spent more time on this achievement than any other one ever. This post does not make up for my 75 gamerscore, but someone has to bare witness to my immense suffering. I don't care what anyone says, CoStella70398 HAS achieved the treasure hunter achievement, no matter what that little robot bastard in Oerba says. I was making myself get every achievement before I played XIII-2, but I suppose those dreams have been crushed. This is an achievement hunter's worst nightmare...

I MEAN COME ON! I spent hours upon hours farming adamantoises to make sure every last accessory was upgraded, but the little robot in Oerba says theres some equipment hidden somewhere in the world. F*** that guy, I demand my achievement.

HWHYY?!?!? Why must all of that effort be put to complete waste!

So I made an account to play the ARR trial on the PS4. it took me 2 days to get the confirmation email, which was then expired. Then, after finally confirming my account, I tried to log into it on the PS4 and it keeps saying my ID and/or password is wrong, which it definitely isn't. How many bugs will a huge company like Square, who's been around forever, allow to be in their products before it's not acceptable? Could you please point me in the direction of a working tool that I can use, or a troubleshoot that will help me with this ongoing and overdramatic process? Thank you
