View Full Version : Important technical issue regarding image quality!

My specs:

P4 2.4ghz
512mb PC800 RDRAM
8500 64mb 275/550

I'll get right to the point. I think anisotropic filtering isn't working properly when displayed by the current version of this game's renderer.

I was experiencing horribly washed out textures in conversational cutscenes until I turned off aniso. I think my IQ actually improved outside of convo cutscenes too, but it's not nearly as glaring as in them.

There has to be a bug here, as I have never seen anisotropic filtering make a game look worse, ever.

Could some of you who are reading this try doing what I've outlined here and looking for any similarities in the final result?

ATI cards have a little trouble with the game with AA and AF on in the cards' settings. Set them to application preference or disable and set multisampling in the demo video options to higher than 1.

Also, try it with and without bloom. Without it, image quality, IMO, appears better, but some have said you take a small performance hit.
