So, any chance of this (http://www.square-enix.co.jp/music/sem/page/seiken2_somg/) getting released (http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B0085DWG0Q/) outside of Japan? Maybe on iTunes or in some similar fashion? It's pretty cool that Hiroki Kikuta is working on an album like this, seeing that the last Secret of Mana album was released all the way back in 1993, and the Mana series itself hasn't seen too much love in the past couple of years.

This is set to be released in Japan on August 8, 2012, by the way.

It looks like SE is tasking Hiroki Kikuta (the original composer) with doing an all-new arrangement album of Secret of Mana called Secret of Mana Genesis. It'll be released on places like Amazon Japan and the Square Enix Japan's e-Store.

Here's the website: www.square-enix.co.jp/music/sem/page/sei... (http://www.square-enix.co.jp/music/sem/page/seiken2_somg/) . It's a fantastic site in that it plays the intro music from the original game with scrolling screenshots.

By the way, Square, where the heck is our Seiken Densetsu Complete Music Collection (http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=SQEX-10249) book? Where's the love of big special editions for American audiences? This is the kind of stuff you should be adding to your store! =]

For those that aren't aware of this fantastic project being worked on between Square Enix and the original series composer Hiroki Kikuta. The official website featuring some of the tracks that will be included in the album can be found here: www.square-enix.co.jp/music/sem/page/sei... (http://www.square-enix.co.jp/music/sem/page/seiken2_somg/)

Let those fond nostalgiac memories come rushing back in! I am of the opinion that Secret of Mana had one of the OSTs in the company's history. If you click on the Track List button on the site, you can listen to short samples of the great songs that will be included, each one as memorable as the other. The album will be released on August 8th in Japan, and one can only hope that Square Enix NA will put the album on their online store

Hiroki Kikuta hasn't really worked with Square Enix since Seiken Densetsu 3 - his most recent projects include games like Shining Hearts and Soul Calibur V. However, with this album, one can only hope that the company will consider hiring Kikuta for future games - preferably a revival of the Mana series for fans to appreciate all over again.

What do you guys think? Honestly, it's really making me want to go back and play the game again.

Yeah, I can't wait until this is realeased. I want to hear all of those tracks so darn bad. Honestly, I MUCH prefer Kikuta's take on Mana soundtrack than Kenji Ito or whomever did Legend/Heroes.

Forgive me for double posting, but Square Enix has made the soundtrack available on iTunes (http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/id548354190)! Thank you, guys!

If you're going to argue that, my thread was made back in early June, while yours was made in late July. You made a second one in addition to one you had already made in the middle of June (/go/thread/view/139251/29179251/New_Secret_of_Mana_Arrangement_Album), and I honestly can't reason why.
