Try to find a new driver for that graphic chip. Yours is dated 9/6/2000.

night

where can I find the new drive of my display card?

Collin

Maybe www.ati.com?

night

I guess so....
but I don't know how to dowload...

GoranAgar

That's not good.

Usually you find a "support" or "download" area on such a site. You pick your graphic card and click the link for the driver which hopefully appears somewhere.

ATI Mobile Graphics products in notebooks
Display drivers and multimedia applications for notebooks with ATI graphics solutions are available for download from your Notebook manufacturer.
For your convenience, a list of links to notebook manufacturers is available in the ATI Onboard section of our website.

The display driver supplied with a given notebook has been customized for:

the built-in flat panel display
any other graphics or video options installed in that specific computer.
As a result of these customizations, ATI Customer Care is unable to offer drivers for notebooks.

We recommend that you:
use the driver supplied with your notebook computer, or,
obtain a driver update from the manufacturer of your notebook computer.

Support for a specific driver feature (such as hardware acceleration of OpenGL) may be incorporated into a particular display driver (or not) at the discretion of the notebook manufacturer. If you have any questions regarding the features or functionality of a particular display driver, please consult with your notebook manufacturer.

For more information on ATI graphics solutions which are used in notebook systems, please see the Mobile Solutions page.

HYDRAVISION is ATI's multiple monitor management software which provides key features to improve your productivity. HYDRAVISION is available free of charge and is offered on an as-is basis.

HYDRAVISION™ is available to download at: http://www.ati.com/companyinfo/glossary/hydravision/index.html

I hope I won't get the trouble for you...
but as the topic said...
I have to find my notebook manufacturer...
After exploring the manufacturer's website, I can't find the driver...
or that's no drivers for download....
what can I do?

GoranAgar

If you close the notebook, doesn't it say the name of the manufacturer on top? Like on an Asus notebook it says: "Asus".

Have you considered getting a Playstation2?

Mine one is Sharp

I think so, but it is expensive as I am a student...

GoranAgar
19th Jul 2003, 12:58
Now that we know that your notebook is a Sharp notebook, what do you think will be the next step?

night

As the result, I go to http://www.sharp-world.com
but there's no data or my notebook,
and there's no drives for download.

I don't know what you tried.

I clicked "Europe" and there "CUSTOMER SUPPORT".

And on CUSTOMER SUPPORT they ask me "How can we help? " and you can choose "I would like to download software for my Sharp product." and click NEXT.

There you choose your product. It it is in the list I would send them an email.

By the way, the EAX is disable when setting, is this problem will be solved when I find the new driver?

night
20th Jul 2003, 08:06
Great! I've found my driver!!
but the problem can't be solved too...
I can hear "This looks like a safe area, but I need to find a way out."
but it close itself after saying this.

My EAX can't be enabled, is this a reason that I can't play?
I've updated my sound card driver,.
