Hi to all this might have been answered before but i still dont understand it this is my problem?

We have two pcs the main one is my dads and he is connected via adsl and has internet connection shareing enabled so my pc can play multiplayer games. (Any way it's windows XP built in firewall...) the problem is when i try to connect to a multiplayer game over internet or direct IP i do not see any games listed
I know you have to open ports 2300,2400,47624 but where do i put them i have no clue can some one go in detail by step by step to guide me to where i have to put them and what pc the main one or my one..ps i can connect to my dads when we run a lan game..also my dads pc can connect to internet and direct connect IP .. (BUT NOT MINE HELP PLEASE)

IS MY QUESTION TOO HARD FOR ANY ONE TO HELP ME? I THOUGHT
THAT PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM WOULD SHED SOME LIGHT ON WHERE TO PUT THESE NUMBERS FOR THIS GAME IN THE FIREWALL
...COZ ALL I HAVE SEEN ON THIS FORUM IS (MAKE SURE U OPEN PORT 2300,2400.47624..ALL WELL AND GOOD TO SOME BUT I HAVE NO CLUE WHERE TO ENTER THESE PORTS THATS WHY I HAVE POST THE ABOVE MESSAGE I HAVE XP FIREWALL..DONT EVEN EIDOS KNOW WHERE THESE PORT FORWARDING THINGS ARE? HELP HELP I WANT TO PLAY AND HOST THIS GAME

your best bet is to disable the winxp firewall and download and install the free zone alarm firewall from http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/company/zap_za_grid.jsp its a lot more helpfull when it comes to gaming
