Milla Jovovich: SHE SINGS!?!?! Huh!? I loved her in 'The Fifth Element' and 'Resident Evil' (that skirt! Daaaamn!!!).

Kelly Osbourne: AHAHAHAHAH!!! That song is so funny: "Bla blabla blablablablaaaah!"\

Bif Naked: She absolutely ROCKS!!! She's got this really special voice and her music is so great... Her lyrics are really deep too. I loved her album "I Bifficus". I like the songs "Any Day Now", "Chotee", and "Lucky Ones"... She's got a bit of an Indian tinge too... And SHE'S CANADIEN!!!

My Picks...

1. Alanis Morisette
2. U2
3. The Cranberries
4. Linkin Park
5. Eminem

*Bonus: Massive Attack
*Bonus #2: Prodigy

This is so hard... Picking 5 artists...

You young whippersnappers are gonna luv this .... my top 5 (and I have to say this changes frequently)

1. Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered .... by Ella Fitzgerald (in my opinion, THE definitive version)
2. She Loves You .... The Beatles (still gets me boppin' after all these decades)
3. Cry Me A River .... by Julie London (many have tried, but only Julie does it for me)
4. Losin' My Mind ... sung by Mel Torme (the old Sondheim song, but only Mel's version GETS to me)
5. The Nearness of You ... Norah Jones' version on her album. For some reason this song and the say she sings it, is stuck in my head.

I have some odd ones myself:

Elizabeth Fraser (Cocteau Twins)
Matt Johnson (The The just because of 'Soul Mining')
Morrissey/Jonny Marr (The Smiths)
Heppner/Reinhardt (Wolfsheim)
Marc Almond

A single song doesn't make an Artist my all time favorite. :p

No? And what about "Hotel California" by the Eagles then? :p

Anyway - here are mine (in no particular order whatsoever):

* Roxette
* Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler (going solo)
* Martina McBride
* Shania Twain
* Faith Hill

just falling out of the top 5:

* Crash Test Dummies (only the first 3 albums however ... :( )
* Queen (only the 2 greatest hits-albums & Made in Heaven)
* AC/DC (but only from the mid '80s on - I dislike them back in the '70s)

Genres anyone? No one crosses over? Ah hell, I have to give best of in genres I'm afraid.

At the moment:

Ella (Jazz)

Billy (Blues)

Cash (Country)

Eminem (Rap)

Rammstein (Loud)

Kate Bush and/or DeadCanDance and/or CocteauTwins (Art)

Catherine Wheel and/or Remy Zero (Rock)

Wolfsheim and/or Shriekback (Pop)

Enya or McKennit (New Age)

Lightfoot (Folk)

Rogers and Hammerstein (Musicals)

Hovhaness and/or Vaughan Williams and/or Holst (New Classical)

...incomplete....all is subject to change, but all is real at the time of posting.

To limit oneself to being crazy about music from just one branch is....crazy. There is SO MUCH good music out there. And you can't close your ears, so listen.

Can I go back to sleep now?

I tend to like electronica, alt rock, lounge pop and classical the most out of all genres.

I love many artists here and there, even if I don't like every single song they come out with. Therefore, I don't have a top 5. Some songs I recommend:

Air - Playground Love; also Sexy Boy, one of their old songs which practically everyone knows (lounge pop/elec)
Amok - Energy [Rave Mix] (elec)
DJ Scott Henry - Are you ready to flow; The Raver Song (elec)
ATB - 9pm ['Til I Come] (elec)
Siouxsie & the Banshees - Face to Face (from Batman Returns)
The White Stripes - Fell in love with a girl (this one cracks me up every time I hear it after having seen these punk kitties: http://www.rathergood.com/punk_kittens/)
Evanescence - Fields of Innocence; Lies; Even in Death; (rock/elec/goth)
Ja Rule - Furious (rap)
Theme from the movie Hackers (elec)
Radiohead - I might Be Wrong (rock)
Natalie Imbruglia - Identify (from the movie Stigmata)
Marilyn Manson - Love Song (alt rock)
BT - Never gonna come back down; Race Wars (elec)
Project Medusa vs. Exor - Moonshine, parts 1 and 2 (elec)
Molotov - Pocas Palabras (Latin rock/rap)
Paulina Rubio - Sexi Dance (Latin pop)
Saliva - Superstar (alt rock)
Scooter - The Logical Song (elec)
Primer 55 - This Life (alt rock)
Nick Warren - Turn Me On [Bedrock Mix] (elec)

And that's about it! :)

I just stumbled onto this site. Wow!!!! It's pretty cool.;) Anyway...here's my top5.

1. Beatles
2. Elton John
3. Tori Amos
4. Crowed House/Neil Finn Solo as well
5a. Jellyfish
5b. George Winston
5c. Sarah Mclachlan
5d. Barenaked Ladies (not just because of the name either!):D
5e. Yanni (I wish I was joking, but I'm serious.)

I was inclined to include "Megadeath", but if you look at my choices above it just doesn't seem to fit.;)

PS. I wouldn't know a "Megadeath" song if you hit me over the head with it. In fact, that's the only way I'd ever listent to it.

PPS. Nice to read your guys again...it's been a while.
