Can you post a transcript for those who can't make it, Tom?

DKSM
11th Jan 2003, 21:43
I'll answer for him as he's a bit busy with the chat right now.

Yes, Tom is keeping a transcript and will post a link to a copy of it when he gets the time.

I found the transcript (which isn't complete :( ). But the most important stuff is there. ;)

What do you mean, isn't complete? That includes every question asked, it's just hard to read.

You beat me to it LS!

I did the same thing, except I fixed the grammar, plus I have all the questions up top. You click the question to jump the page to the answer.

Will the game involve more use of stealth?
Gary: There are no gameplay differences between the two versions. The difference will be mainly in the graphics

That makes sense to you?
The question was (from me, Spike):

Will there be any gameplay differences between ps2 and pc versions? and this question is missing. My other question about him ever visiting Eidos forums is also missing but luckily, all answers are present.

This is what I mean by not complete. ;)

DKSM

The stealth thing is the answer he gave and if I missed a question, whoops! I'm not superman. :p Also, in my version, the thing about him visiting Eidos is there. Last question. Also, I fixed those question things so it should be fixed now.

I have to admit I was so nervous on how the event was going to
turn out and it all went so well. Gary was great answering
the questions from the fans that came and everyone had
a great time. We can all rest knowing AOD will be out as planned
in February :D Thanks Gary for coming you are the best!
Thanks to all the people that came. The joint chat event from
LCO & TRC was awesome and I hope we can do it again someday.
Thanks for the people above in the thread for making adjustments
to the transcript. I have all the versions everyone has posted
linked on my news page. :)

Glad it all came together, Tom....and after months of panic, whining, rumours and threats, it was nice to have the veil of secrecy lifted, and to get some word from the horses mouth (so to speak!)

It was also nice that Gary also left some things unanswered so as not to give too much away. It has restored a lot of my enthusiasm for the coming game.

Dave did you see what he said about you?
I have another version of the Questions and Answers here (http://funkylydia.tripod.com/transcript.html)

Greetings. We've cleaned up the Tomb Raider community chat event transcript removing many of the residual comments and formatting the event into questions and answers. The transcript can be found HERE (http://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/dl/img/transcript.txt) - Thanks to all those who participated and thanks to Tom for providing a great chat room!

Is there a transcript available yet anywhere that has no questions, no answers....just the chatter inbetween?

Xcom
12th Jan 2003, 17:36
I thought the transcript at LCO was exactly that. Link in my first post here.

DKSM
12th Jan 2003, 17:41
Actually, Tom cut out a lot of the chatter, as the original transcript was like 3 to 4 x the size LCO's version is now.

Xcom
12th Jan 2003, 17:54
Ah, well. Does any1 still have the totally complete thing? :D
Including countdown before Gary appeared and fake Gary@core. That was funny. :D

Thanks Tom for holding the chat event.

I was at work during it but very much enjoyed the read!

(especially what he said about Dave :D :D :D )

DKSM
12th Jan 2003, 18:05
I almost had it, but my computer crashed and for some reason, when I reopened word, it didn't keep it.

Actually, my version was everything that was said since 1:30 EST until the end. :p

Yeah, gary@core was funny. :p And everyone actually thought it was him too. Bah, stupid people who aren't mods there. :D

Lara Croft Online
12th Jan 2003, 22:33
The one part of the event that was funny was a person I
believe named philly comes in to the chat room seeking help
on the coliseum and he/she private messages me for help saying
please help me! I told he/she we are having a chat event at the
moment and then he/she says I don't speak English lol
I said go ask Stella she is here :D

Xcom
12th Jan 2003, 22:51
there was a person named Jimmy who kept bugging everyone about some level help. Everyone was like: Jimmy PM me, jimmy this is not the time, pm me. But jimmy kinda didn't get it. :D

DKSM
12th Jan 2003, 23:01
I gave him a PM telling him exactly how to PM me....no response. Then in the main chat window, he is like "SOMEONE HELP MEEEE!!!!" :D

You can not embed flash into your posts here. HTML is off.

Seems like people had some fun in chat, eh? Reminds me of the old times. ;)
