It seems like most threads only have a few comments. I thought TR had more fans than that.

It does. Has been a little quiet on here because of lack of news about the next game. Sure when that comes will get a lot more busy.

How many active? Around 4. :p.

But sure, a whiff of news on something new should spark the section back up for a bit.

Seriously, CD, a teeny artwork/hint....I'll take crumbs at this point. :nut:

I'm on here at least once a week, looking to see if there's anything new or if I have a question about something. I haven't touched Rise in a while but I still come here to look around.

I pop in about once a week or so and have a look around. Still haven't finished Rise (I've lost all interest in it) but still am doing what I can to avoid spoilers.

I still check this forum daily, but there's hardly any new posts to reply to, so there you go.

And I can't say for certain how much of it has to do with the lack of new game news. The OT thread (Humble Adode) used to see a plethora of replies daily so I'm not sure exactly how much of it has to do with no TR3 news (which we may not get for a while unfortunately). While it may be somewhat of a contributing factor, people can still use THA thread for their daily fill, but alas, no one's doing that, either.

I check in every day, but don't reply every day. I often find the in-depth conversations in the HA too exhausting.

Same with me.

As of late, I think I've been more active in the movie section. I guess because we've been getting more news regarding the movie than we've had about the game...

Same again.
And by in-depth conversations, do you mean the political chit-chat that railroads every other topic?

But yet, still not enough :D

Yeah, that would be it. Got a bit tired of the "which ideology is worse right now" back and forth.

I'm all about E3 right now, bring on the gaming hype.

Talking about E3, I was having a look for anything TR related & found this:

I've been on a bit of a hiatus, but plan to visit more frequent again.

Out of curiosity, what would you say is the cause of the lost of interest?

And do you still plan to finish the game?

I'll be popping in THA again so expect more replies from me at least :)

I can't say I ever get tired of proving people wrong about that :p :D

Hi and welcome to the forum. I recommend starting a new thread for your question. It might get lost in this thread here :)

And do you still plan to finish the game?

A few reasons, really. For me, having read some of the comics, read the '10,000 Immortals' book, and re-played TR2013 a few times, I just got burned out on Trinity, man. And it hadn't even "started" yet. As far as the gameplay went, it was fine until crafting came in. I friggin' hate crafting mechanics. I can only think of 1 game I've played where a crafting mechanic "worked" for me and wasn't an annoyance, and that's 'Alien: Isolation' where the whole risk vs. reward of venturing out looking for items to schlack together to make something that's essential to survival or accomplishing a goal was fairly intense. Also wasn't a fan of the card upgrading system. Didn't get it. Just seamed like a gimmick to me. But that's also another thing I don't care for in any games. And I was pretty bummed to find out Lara was still becoming "the Tomb Raider" when the ending of TR2013 kinda implied she was there to me. And (I know this is a nitpick) but dude, where were the dual pistols? She friggin' had those at the end of TR2013.

No, never finished it, have no intentions of doing so. No interest at all in 'Shadow', either. Based off of what I've seen and heard in adverts for the game she still isn't "the Tomb Raider" at the beginning of 'Shadow'? The origin of new Lara has been dragged out way too long, IMO. TR2013 as an origin made sense. 'Rise' and 'Shadow' as continuations of origin, not so much.

I gave 'Rise' a chance and it lost me. I'm not on board the TR train until this trilogy is over. Just not my thing anymore. I've still got the CORE games I play now and again, and I still play 'Legend' twice a year (it's still my favorite), and TR will always be one of my favorite game series, but this particular arc just couldn't keep me enthused after TR2013.

EDIT: I have not seen the movie either. Again, no interest.
