Here's some pictures of my trip out west.

- This is one of the rivers I fished for 'Silvers' or Coho Salmon (http://www.wcnet.org/~howie/eP1010022.jpg). I had a couple of nice ones on the line but got them knocked off by some of the other anglers in the river. Wasn't their fault tho, there were some old king salmon in the river that kept biting our baits which would get in the way of the nice fish on. The kings had run eariler, so all that were left was the scullator fish or the so called 'Old Boots' -- ugly. Same shot with at a different time. (http://www.wcnet.org/~howie/eP1010019.jpg)

- Space Needle (http://www.wcnet.org/~howie/eP1010016.jpg), and unforunatly, I didn't go up in it -- something about calling security drove us away.

- Pikes Market. (http://www.wcnet.org/~howie/eP1010012.jpg) This is where they throw the fish at people. ALA David Letterman.

- These are some crabs that we caught in the Sound. (http://www.wcnet.org/~howie/eP1010007.jpg) They are Dungoness Crab with one Red Rock.

- Me on one of the rivers that we hike to. (http://www.wcnet.org/~howie/eP1010001.jpg) Caught one natural steelhead here -- those have to be released. I was going to take a picture of the thing after I beached it but when I went to wash it off, it took off. Oh well, did my good deed and picked up some goofballs trash he left behind.

- This is a good natural stream photo. (http://www.wcnet.org/~howie/P1010002.JPG) We hiked into this one with no deaths to report. 100ft drop if you slipped, nice soft rocks to land on.

Got one of Clayman with some chum salmon I'll post later. :D

hmmmmmm......sounds like a good idea. Lets have a thieves reunion in the Bahama's. If no one shows up I won't care, I'm sure I'll find something to do.

Signed,

Howie,
I knew, someone would get you back to us. Thanks to MSLEDD and CATS CLAW for resusitating our resident instigator.

That's my home country (Washington and Oregon). You didn't say Clayman was going with you. My brother-in-law lives in Seattle.

Those are some nicely done photos. I was there this summer and Washington is beautiful. The cloudy skies are about par for the course too!

Thanks Shadow Creepr, I try. :) Nice and rainy place to go, after your there awhile you don't even notice the rain unless it really starts coming down hard.

If your from there theBlackman, I guess that means you don't know how to drive either (?).

Lesson #1: Yes, there is more than one lane of traffic, and yes if you are driving slower than the rest of the traffic you are suppose to drive in the right lane. Also, you're suppose to drive between the dashed lines and the solid white line. And no, bumping and banging into the other cars is not normal.

Lesson #2
In a Heavy fog, drive with lowbeams.
In a real Heavy fog, drive with the drivers door open looking down at the white line. Look up every once in a while. If you see headlights in your lane(?). Stop. Exit the car and walk to the left until you reach the shoulder. If you cross one or more lanes to get there the other guy is in the wrong lane. If you don't cross another lane, you are in his lane.

Correct as needed and proceed in the same manner as prior to stopping. :p

Lovely pic's Howie...especially the last one :) I've copied it and will use it as a wallpaper! I have had some experiences as well driving, LOL, particularly from OR to WA just as it started to snow  Never had done it before and had a harrowing time of it. I started to skid and thank heavens I ended up against the right embankment ILO going to the other side which would have been most unhealthy! :D Glad you had a good time and that you were even able to hookup with the clayman? That musta been an experience LOL Thanks for showing some of your trip with us :) Ta and Good Hunting!

This thread is confusing, but interesting. :)

For the record, I've never seen Howie in his birthday suit, with or without a steelhead. :D

I have been to Washington, but have never been caught with an illegally caught salmon in my life; I would eat them raw rather than risk being aprehended. ;)

Good photos, howie, I would like to do that someday. Fly-fish in the Northwest that is; the other stuff I'll leave to you. :)

I'm c0 ck-eyed. The person behind me deserves more attention than the steelhead in my hands. Such is life. What can I say; que sera sera. :)

Your cO cK-eYeD because it's a heavy fish, King Salmon in this case. The guy behind you is Ed, with a little make-up.

I was going to make the topic title, " What happens when two white guys, a Hawaiian, a Black guy, and a Japenese guy walk into a stream ? ', REALLY, but everyone would have thought it was a joke :). My fishing style was a joke, but other than that, the crew I was with were a pretty good group of guys.
