This is currently stumping 'em over in the Eidos CC forum....why don't you folks give it a go?

As a new Bond movie opens next week, see how much you know about his last 40 years on the big screen:

1. The Bond films are made by Eon Productions. What does Eon stand for?

2. When Eon acquired the rights to Ian Fleming's Bond novels, Fleming stipulated that they could use the title only of one book...no characters and no plot elements. Which book was it?

3. Ursula Andress in 'Doctor No'
Daniela Bianchi in 'From Russia With Love'
Honor Blackman in 'Golfinger'
Claudine Auger in 'Thunderball'.

The first 4 Bond girls...who is the odd one out and why?

4. What is M's real name? (The male and female M's, please).

5. What can Connery's Bond do in 'You Only Live Twice', that Brosnan's can't do in 'Tomorrow Never Dies'?

6. Name 5 actors/actresses who have played more than one character in different Bond films?

7. Other than Bond, M, Q, Moneypenny and the staff at HQ, there are at least 4 other characters who have been played by the same actor more than once. Name them (character and actor).

8. Who was the oldest actress to play a Bond girl?

9. Which is the only film in which we see Bond in possession of the car Fleming gave him in the books?

10. Name the 2 films in which we see Bond's house?

1. Everything Or Nothing (alledgedly ;))

2. Well Casino Royale was certinaly nothing like the book, but Eon didn't make that so.... I'll need to think on that one... oh, oh, oh, was it 'The Spy Who Loved Me'???

3. Ursula Andress had her voice dubbed ...so I heard.

4. Assuming you don't the mean the actors names, I'm going to have to say that as I haven't read many of the books, pass. :(

5. As I hate Brosnan I've only watched TND once, so if you'll excuse me again, I'll got watch it again to check ;) .....

6. here's two for starters;
-Maud Adams
-George Baker

7. Jaws -Richard Kiel
....Felix Leiter -David Hedison
....Sheriff J.W. Pepper -Clifton James
....Ernst Blofeld -Anthony Dawson
....Sir Frederick Gray (The Minister of Defence) -Geoffrey Keen

8. Was it Maud Adams??? -unless you're counting Lois Maxwell or Judi Dench ;)

9. I'm presuming you mean the exact model, meaning the DB5 in Goldfinger wouldn't count as it was a DB3 in the book. So you're probably refering to the 4 1/2 Liter Bentley Sports Tourer in 'From Russia With Love', as Bond drove Bentley's in practically all the books.

10. I can't remember..... take pity on me..... do I get points for decribing it??? :(

Correct

2. Well Casino Royale was certinaly nothing like the book, but Eon didn't make that so.... I'll need to think on that one... oh, oh, oh, was it 'The Spy Who Loved Me'???

Correct...it was Fleming's least favourite of the novels...Bond only appears in the last 3rd, the whole story is told from the perspective of a female spy and mostly takes place in a motel room.

3. Ursula Andress had her voice dubbed ...so I heard.

Incorrect...but nearly there.

4. Assuming you don't the mean the actors names, I'm going to have to say that as I haven't read many of the books, pass. :(

Incorrect (characters names please)

5. As I hate Brosnan I've only watched TND once, so if you'll excuse me again, I'll got watch it again to check ;) .....

Incorrect

6. here's two for starters;
-Maud Adams
-George Baker

Keep going...correct so far

7. Jaws -Richard Kiel
....Felix Leiter -David Hedison
....Sheriff J.W. Pepper -Clifton James
....Ernst Blofeld -Anthony Dawson
....Sir Frederick Gray (The Minister of Defence) -Geoffrey Keen

Correct. You could also have Eunice Gayson as Sylvia Trench, Robbie Coltrane as Zukovsky, Joe Don Baker as Jack Wade. (A clue to question 6 there...)

8. Was it Maud Adams??? -unless you're counting Lois Maxwell or Judi Dench ;)

I'll accept Maud Adams...she was 37 by the time Octop+ssy was released...the real answer is Honor Blackman who was 37 when Goldfinger was filmed.

Excellently correct.

10. I can't remember..... take pity on me..... do I get points for decribing it??? :(

No. ;)

Hummm, was going to say Honor, as she's the most obvious, but when I double checked on the DOB's vs release dates, Maud had a year over her. Go figure....

They should have come straight from the top of your brain!
