In the light of a new Era of RPGing I have updated my manual on the Targ fleet. I will update a lot during the next few days because I am sick at home with something related to strep throught. It hurts to talk, and swallow, even if it is just water.

Strength:
Dreadnaught is capable of destroying any smaller ship, and can keep a stalemate with ships larger. If you're not the entire millitary of another race, I would stay away.

Notes:

The Dreadnaught Class was initially concived as a long-range exploration ship, but when construction began on the Red Demon, it was decided that a heavy combat ship was needed. After a lengthy re-design, construction began in the Utopia Planetia Fleet yards, orbitting Clik. The contstruction took a relativly short 20 years, because the Clik shipyards are euipped with advanced matter synthysisers allowing many parts to be replicatted, but delicate, or un-replicatable matterials were purchased. The ship was assembled by scuzzers. On Star Date 79500.12, Dreadnaught was launched. It completed Operational trials, and is now on active duty.

Accomadations for Dreadnaught's crew is very nice. The interior is sleek, cool and effiecent with the main color scheme being silver, crhome, blues, and purples. The recreation systems are very advanced, with many Holo Suites, rec bars, and love nests situated around the ship. Overall, Dreadnaught is a sleek, and deadly ship, the crown jewel of the Targ Fleet.

Strength:
The Consitution Cass is very powerfull, and you should avoide direct conflict with it if you do not have a more powerfull ship, and even then approach with caution.

Notes:
The Constiution Class was designed in tandem with the Declaration Class over 20 years ago. It was designed to be the most powerfull ship in the fleet, and it was untill the Dreadnaught Class came into being. A Constituion Class vessel can hold its own with any of the battleships, of comparable size, of the other races, and a large fleet of them could destroy a space station.

The crews of Constituition class ships mostly love in barraks, but officers over the rank of Lieutenant have staterooms. There is are concentrations of recreation facilities on decks 20, 40, and 400.

Strength:
A Declaration Class vessel is a potent enemy. Its many weapons turrets, and automated point defense render this ship very powerfull. It makes up the backbone of the Targ fleet. You could overwhelm a Declaration class with a larger ship, if you are lucky enough to find one alone.

Notes:
The Declaration Class was designed in tandem with the Constitution Class Battlecruiser to replace the aging Lira Class. It was eventually decided that the Declaration class whould suplement the Lira Class. The Lira Class was brought up to modern standards, and the Declaration Class was brought into production. The Declaration Class is now the back bone of the fleet, and handles may border confilcts, and paticipates in fleet actions.
Accomodations on the Declaration Class are comperable to those of the Constution Class.

Strength:
The Lira Class is a long, thin ship that is able to take a beating. It is not equiped with the armour generators of today, but its sturdy hull can take weapons fire. The Lira Class is equiped to take down any pirates or raiders, but can be destroyed by newer, better ships.

Notes:
The Lira Class was developed over 60 years ago with the foremost in millitary technology. It is long and narrow, with a relativly small crew. Its offensive weapons were very good for the time, and after refits they stil are. When production on the Declaration Class began, the Lira Class was systematicly refited, and the class was re-assigned to patrol, and defense roles, but it does now alsofunction in fleet roles as protection for larger ships.
Accomodations on a Lira Class are nice, and because of the relativly small crew, most crewmen get staterooms.

Strength:
The Chiron Class is a fast, heavilly armed vessel that can take out many larger vessels. Chiron Class vessels are usually grouped into wings of 3, allowing them to overwhelm an enemy.

Notes:
The Chiron Class is a more recent design, and is equiped with the latest in technology. It is designed to strike quickly, pull out, and swing around for another pass, untill the enemy is destroyed.
Accomodations consist of berths, and state rooms for officers.

Strength:
The Hermes Class is a very fast courier capable of non-repulsor atmospheric flight, and sustained hyperspace speeds of 0.2. It is also a capable Fast Attack craft, usually swooping in, firing, and then hiding. If you are a slow ship, avoid conflicts with this class.

Notes: The Hermes Class was designed 5 years ago to function as a courier for ambassadors, admirals, and other dignitaries. It was also given significant offensive and defensive systems, allowing it to keep its passengers safe. The accomodations on Hermes are good for the crew, but the passengers get the most luxurious quarters in the fleet. The Hermes class has served well, and several have been refited for combat, or cargo roles. The Hermes her self was refited, and assigned to ITS Dreadnaught, as a transport for Admiral Davidg.

Ok....Isn't that a little overkill, reduce it a little, I don't know by how much, i'm still thinking about maximum fleet sizes. :D

I have an idea of fleet size. And only 1fleet per player to keep things from going out the window and down the road.

1- Capital/Falg Ship, Most advanced ship in the fleet.

3- Heavy Battle Ships, Slow and hard to manouver, can take lots of punishment, and deal a lot of punishment too.

5- Medium Cruisers, all-rounder, good speed and manouverability can take some fire.

8- Small Frigates, Small and fast, great manouverabilty, hull easily compromised, no armor. Great for hit and run tactics and taking out support craft.

2- Hanger/Support Craft, carry 50 fighters. Produce spare parts to re-equip fleet on the go. Slow can't manouver well, little armor and easily compromised.
