I used to rely on Gamespot but then they started charging for content. Fie on them, they should rot. Now I sometimes check Gamespy but they seem kind of lame. Anyone got suggestions for good sources of on-line information for new or existing games, for example reviews, previews, ratings etc., and that don't charge for the content?

LOL, there are loads of them.

Try:

http://www.ign.com
http://www.avault.com

and a couple of thousand others :D

Thanks Xcom, I know there are lots of 'em, just didn't know where to find them. But more importantly don't want to wade through all the bad or so-so ones. So I guess I should have been more specific in my request. The thing I like about Gamespot is its "magazine" format that's easy on the eyes and user friendly. Sort of like a mainstream news magazine. Are there any others that are like that. And, of course, don't charge. Thanks all.
BTW, avault does look pretty good.
