Ok, I have played through SR1 and SR2. I loved SR1 and the cinemagraphics in SR2 were great. I am currently playing BO2. But, I haven't ever played BO1.

Is it a really important factor to go out and purchase it and play it through?

Or can I get the jist of it from the over all 3 games, rather than the first BO1.

Anyone?

You really need the first one to fully understand the rest of the series.

I second this, you get a lot better understanding of Kain and the entire series once you have played and beat Blood Omen 1.

Blood Omen is like the Silmarillion to the Soul Reaver games' Lord of the Rings. It sets up all of the backstory, mythology, and so forth. You don't *need* to play it to enjoy the others, but it will make them even more fun.

Yeah! get BO if you can. Its the game that started it all and explains alot of things about nosgoth, kain, the pillars, ect. You'll have a more understanding of the story, and also the other 3 games refer back to events in BO alot. So if you can, find it and play it. :D

Plus if you do get it there's a little bonus, you get to see Moebius get what he most definately deserves :D

*must also agree: It is THE sweetest of the sweet.*

Anyway, I feel that BO1 is the best game of all time!... well, I guess that's because I played it before the other LOK games. But still, I also find that LOK games are the best over any other game I've played - I've never given as much thought and interest into a game as I do with LOK games. YOU MUST BUY IT!!!

Blood Omen is definitely worth having. Granted, the graphics are a little on the dated side. It's still an enjoyable game to play just to get the whole original story and all it's details. Plus, it has a good bit more replay value than the average game because there are so many different things to look for. I'm still going back through it trying to find the secrets I missed. (I refuse to cheat to find out where they are. That would ruin everything.) :D

Yes, most definitely, get Blood Omen if you can! http://www.click-smilie.de/sammlung/cool/cool001.gif

Me too!:D

I'm in Steinchencroe right now. I'm half wondering if that bowl of green stuff that the crazy guy in the far corner of town is stirring is some kind of Glyph goo. LOL ;) http://www.click-smilie.de/sammlung/lachen/lachen002.gif

I can't play it, I can't find a copy. Though I am still looking for one.

If anyone knows where I can get a copy for the PS1/PS2, I would be most appreciative.

<mind you I said appreciative and not submissive.> <did I say that? Yikes, it must be a Monday~!>

I found both the ps1 and pc versions. Heres the PC version (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00004XQ6V/002-0067740-9716801) and Heres the PS1 version (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00002STPE/002-0067740-9716801) Both for really cheap prices too  Also sometimes they can be found in bargain bins in many stores, so you might get lucky and find it that way too.

I got mine at a Software Etc. If all else fails, I'll see if I can locate one near me and I'll send it to ya. :)

I will try Software etc. There is one here in Ann Arbor. But, if I can't find one, I will certainly let you know.

Thanks again!

Yep, I believe you've got a Software Etc and a Funcoland there in Ann Arbor. Whether or not the game is in stock is a mystery, coz that function didn't seem to be working at the www.gamestop.com website. I think the game is $17.99 if it is in stock, though.

Best of luck finding it and, like I said, I'll keep an eye out for it just in case...

Still Funcoland in STL, but it does recognize Gamestop as the owner.

Either way you look at it, they're all Barnes & Noble subsidiaries. :p
