Would you consider you're loving of TR a fad or is a perminent thing?

I know I got through fads, first I was big on neopets, then Buffy, then E-Feds, then Tomb Raider. Now I'm starting to move back on to Final Fantasy X. As much as I love them all (except neopets), I can't help but get obssessed over something else!

Is anyone else like this or am I just a freak (sorry - compulsive obssessive)

I know what you mean....but I think as I get older I've discovered its possible to have a wider capacity for fads, and they tend not to go on the back burner anymore.

Current fads for me:

Logans Run novels
Judge Dredd comics and novels
Resident Evil game on GC
Aliens v. Predator 2 on PC
Scrubs on TV
Farscape on TV/DVD
Eliza Du Toit's mouth
Painting Garage kits
Games Workshop miniature painting
Beautiful Killer comic book series
Danger Girl comic book series

Maybe it'll diminish again when I get back to work in a week or two.....

Not a fad, but I've never been fanatical about it anyway, I've too many other interests to be totally consumed by one subject anymore.

Danger Girl? is that anything like Dangerman with Patrick McGoohan? .....I'm assuming; probably not.
and don't you just love Dr Cox on Scrubs!?!!! (in a platonic way) :D

and MC, I wouldn't worry about being a freak, just take a pin-badge and join the club ;)

'Danger Girl' is a hybrid of Bond, Charlie's Angels, Nikita....all in one wacky package. Great artwork!

I can't wait to see how the second series of 'Scrubs' picks up the pieces after the explosive end of series 1!

Nah - Tombraider isn't a fad for me either - I have loved it for soooo long now!!! A fad to me is something that you obsess about for a relatively short space of time.

The permanent obsessions in my life are:-

Tombraider
Bon Jovi and music in general
Cider
Internet
My animals
Horror novels and horror movies
Star Trek

I think it's a permanent thing. It's been around and has been hanging on since '96. And people are still loving it.
Though for Legend and the 'new generation' it might be a fad.
