On this new forum of ours, it is possible to link directly to some's reply, instead of the whole thread. But to do that, we need to know the post's id.

Would it be possible to display the post's id the the heading of the post?

Here is an example of linking directly to a post:
A Post I made somewhere.

Resulting in:
A Post I made somewhere (http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3120#post37530)

All you have to do is hit "quote" for the post you want to link to, and it'll show in your address bar what the post ID is. :)

Or... you can simply mouse over the "Edit" or "Quote" buttons or the "IP Logged" or "Report this post to a moderator" links to show the Post ID in your browser's status bar.

The format for linking directly to a specific post would be:

http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=XXXX#postXXXX
(where XXXX is the post ID number)

:D
