ok, i put some gor into the lockdown brig for "fakeing crop circles" he was put in there, and when he came out, i decided to hire him, i was in great need, well, i looked and he still had his record. i tried to put some fuzzers by him, and they wouldn't re-arrest him, is he still a crim or does it just say that. anyone know?

It just shows what they have done. Once they are punished, they can turn good or bad again. And faking crop-circles is nothing, go see what Ghyron has done. :D

Actualy Dracoraptor when a crim is rehabbed they have their Criminal records erased. As the F1 Help says repeat offenders are rare but can and will occur. You can't re-rehab them until they actualy commit another crime.

There are criminals and convicts.

Convicts are to be rehabilitated.
Crims can be expelled.

Convicts lose their crim.record after rehabilitation.
Crims retain their crim.record after rehabilitation.

Both of them strive to leave your station right after rehabilitation.

If a peep has something in his crim.record then he gets 50% bonus to his armor rating. As crim retains it then if you hire him he still has that bonus and behaves just like normal peep. He'll become criminal again if his soul is too small.

Thus it's good to hire rehabilitated criminal peeps.

I remember there was only one grey on the station, and I needed a doctor. I went to look at him and realised he was being taken to a lockdown brig. I waited and hired him when he go ut, and he was my best employee in that game. So there you go.

how did you find out about that 50% bonus in armor for crim peeps, does the f1 thing tell you all that? when i used it, i didn't get too much.

oh, and another question on crims. i know grey crims don't help people in the sick bay, but what about targ and salthog, do they do their skill at a negetive or just no work at all. same for gor, do they just take up a spot in the control room, or do they make it so your control level (for breaching) is lower.

Never ask where Pinky gets his info. Last guy who did found himself in an alleyway with only one eye and three kidneys.

And I'm pretty sure they apply negative when they are crimming. (Hee hee I made a word.) I've seen salthogs steal from a recycler burst, but again Pinky or Dracoraptor with their 'sources' could bring light to the subject.

My remarks:

Siren: Negative love hit makes peeps sad (Prooven) - Wrong, 'love' increases but 'mind' gets hit pretty badly
Zedem: Makes peeps unhappy (Prooven) - Wrong, 'soul' is decreased greatly making peep more likely to become a criminal that way
Gem Slug: N/A (Excretes less turdite) - I'm not sure if there are criminal slugs, don't recall seeing one
Salt Hog: Steals Money (Unknown) - The slow down the production in the factories and pocket 50 e for each time they operate recycler
Kasvagorian: Lowers sercurity level (Prooven) - Probably, your fuzzers would wander more aimlessly than before and Security Column range will decreasei/i]
Turraken: Slows Research (Prooven) - [i]If working enough, criminal Turraken can even redirect your research to upgrading existing one rather than researching a new tech. I think so.
Grekka-Targ: Attracts less peeps to the station (Prooven) - Wrong, their negative constituent of your pool will render detection of tradeships, patients ships, puilgrims ships, solar flares and starquake shockwave detection less likely to happen.
Karmarama: Emits bad Karma waves (Prooven) - Yep
Grey: Kills peeps instead of healing them (Prooven) - That's just decreasing 'body', but if it's sufficient he'll kill a peep.

My sources? Moodsin.txt (or smth like that) and one of Mucky Foot peeps has told before about that 50% bonus.

Those are all right, I've read the code before. I just didn't want to be picky and exact...

Yes, crim Slugs do exist.

(If Love goes down, than everything else goes down. Therefore, they are "Sad" (And wouldn't unhappy mean angry?). Same thing happens when anything else is down. Check the moods files for when certain moods are low. But if every mood is high, it continues to climb. It is the art of chain-reaction.)

Love is minimal = 'love' is less than 3000

If love goes down from 9675 to 9674 then it goes down independently.
