It keeps asking me for my email/username and password. Ive evntered both and no dice. Ive changed my password, no dice. I asked the client for a password reset and entering my email returns a No Email found even though I just recieved a email to change my password. --;

And yes, I'm trying to log into the SquareEnix NA part.

Could I not play FFVII because I made my account today and apparently there is 24 hours before you can use your account? Cause that is stupid then. --

I've been having nothing but trouble getting this to work. I just wanted to share what finally worked for me. Two problems I had:

1) Game loading hung up at 10% and said I had no internet connection.

It's clear now that this has nothing to do with your internet connection and just means that Squares servers are busy. Keep trying it will work.

2) After getting to the login screen it tells me my email address is invalid even though I used it to buy the game and register at square? Can't even rest password because email address is invalid.

Solution to this was mind boggling. To the left of the email address and password field you will see two boxes. One for facebook and below it one for Square Enix. CLICK THE SQUARE ENIX BOX. Now you can log in with your account name or email address. Wtf Square. Ugh.

I don't want to log in with facebook on this game, so I choose to log with my square enix account. I enter the correct information and correct password, I press Log in and than........

the change you wanted was rejected. Maybe you tried to change something you didn't have access to.

So... How can I resolve this, I don't want to log with facebook.</pre>

I don't have a problem loading the site, but it's displaying me as Member_19382130983, or some odd string of random numbers.

I could only get it to work with my email not my username

I finally got it to recognize my screen name and password, but none of the buttons: PLAY, ACHIEVEMENTS, SETTINGS will do anything when clicked on. Seriously, why the hell does an offline game (with OPTIONAL online features) need to be linked online to play??? This is stupid!

Velkare

You'll want to click on the button on the left that says Square Enix North America and input your password and information there.

thanks for the reply but in both the support log in page and the shortcut on my desktop, there is no button that says that

in my browser address it already states i am in the "NA" page... if that means anything

thx

i should add that late last night i went to log in, and it worked, but told me the server was offline

@Crono1973 I did try that, and it isn't working!

Yup, says invalid email or password. Then when I request my password it tells me my email is invalid. Okay, so maybe something messed up when I registered; I go to register again, and ooh! My email and account are already taken! Guess what, I have forum access but no game access! This is just stupid.

Well I am able to log in to my account, but the weird thing is I just started an account, but I didn't realize that I had set one up a couple of years ago. I used the same username and email to set it up, but different passwords. So now, when I enter the username but a different password (each time) I get two different accounts with different names on it. They are both mine, but its weird. I don't know which account I used to get my FF VII game from since I can't see the order and I need my stupid activation code, and I haven't received any email. I am so frustrated...argh.

So I have an NA account (obviously since I'm posting here and not the EU site) and it won't let me use either my Square Enix account info (for FFXI) or my member account info (which is linked to the my square enix account). So I have to click the NA members box to the left. I then have to use my username (which is the same for both my square enix account and square enix members account). When I log in, i'm now known as member_10033216 instead of Reks, which I'm assuming it should be. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone else know how to fix it? Not super important, but more annoying than anything else. When i view my online profile page it comes up the same.

I have checked and there doesn't seem to be a way to fix this yet. Seems the account for the achievements is tied to the Square Europe side of things for now.

TheGambler-276052
15th Aug 2012, 20:07
Well what I did to fix it just now was in the launcher, go to settings then network then log out. I then clicked the link at the top right for "not registered" then was able to make a new account with the same name and everything.

So as odd as it is, this post and my post above seem to be 2 separate accounts but at least it shows my name on the launcher and lets me sign in without having to click "NA users". You'll lose your saves/achieves though.

Weird. Well hopefully in an update it will update our accounts to our NA profile.

At first I had "no connection" issues but that seemed brief to the 4 hours of me clicking that "Save" button after accepting the Terms of Service with my date of birth, country and nickname. From the loggin I have to click NA Square Enix account and then loggin in from there because I don't want to use my facebook loggin. Once that happens I have to accept the Terms of Service. Unfortunately, each time I click "Save" it returns me to the "Almost Done!" page as if I left something out.

I see "Date of Birth, Country, Nickname, ToS tick box and Consent tick box, is there more that just isn't showing up?

Same problem here, everything worked quite well (download was very fast!) until I got to the log in. Just won't accept my account name/password or even my e-mail to fix it. Just makes me wonder why we have to connect through the cloud in the first place...

Send a message to Square Enix tech support and try posting on the Technical Support forums. I had that problem for a short time and it turned out to be them carrying out maintenance. Square Enix like most companies will encounter problems with some of their games, especially those sold online and will work to fix them.

Over the past few days, it seems that SE is having some significant problems with their servers. Those of us who can go into the game cannot get our saves to download from the cloud, meaning we can't load our saves unless we backed them up locally. I would go into Network Settings and hit the test button. If it comes back ok, try to log in again. If that doesn't work, I would try something different.

I have seen in some places that people who had a previous SE international account (for things such as FFXI and FFXIV) have issues. If that is the case, try logging in with one of those.

Paid for the game, downloaded it, put in the product key.

Square sent me an email with all my information in it so you obviously have it.

Go to log in and it says I have an invalid email. Thinking I forgot my password I click "Can't Access My Account" and again I get that my email doesn't exist.

How did they screw up a release this big? This is what happens when you go digital-only. And of course custoemr support is nowhere to be found.

I am running into the same issues. And I really do not want to connect my FaceBook account to this.

Does anyone have a fix? Even the site seems to believe my account doesn't exist, but I cannot find anywhere that lists my account name. I can change my password and whatnot, and I can log into my account through the "change your password" email, but I cannot get in with the username and PW or the email and PW.

Seems like a very faulty system with limited information available to customers.

So, I was able to download and install the game with no issues. It was sent to my email without any issues so I know I have the right one. After I had it installed I would go to try and load into the game, and my email and password combo didn't work. I tried my username with the same results. Seeing as I couldn't log in I tried to recover my password via the "Can't access your account?" option. After trying that I get the message "Email not found."

I've downloaded everything but it seems like the server hasn't added my info despite my downloading and registering my game. Sorry if this is a repost but I didn't see anything like it on the first page or so.

So when you get an error like this there may be a few different things that have gone wrong. First, you'll want to make sure that you're logging in with the same information that you're logging into this forum site with. If you need a password rest you can do so here (http://na.square-enix.com/help/forgot_password.one). Second, you'll want to make sure that you are logging into the correct portion of the game. There are three parts to the login area of the Launcher: The main username and password area (this is for the EU region Square Enix Members site), the Facebook login, and the Square Enix North America option. We'd want you to make sure that you're clicking on that NA region area when loggin in. By doing these few steps it should get you on a path to log in. Once in it's probably going to ask you for your registration code which can be found in your email or on www.findmyorder.com. (Http://www.findmyorder.com. )

Hello, so I recently purchased FF7 and although I had some small issues when installing I finnaly got to where I needed to be. After my game had finished updating I went to log in and it told me that I had incorrect login information. I thought to myself, "Hmm that's weird I know for a fact that this is my log in info."

So I decided to do a test. I tried logging in on the website but I got the same error. So, naturally, I reset my password because I'm human and may have made a mistake. So I reset my password and I am able to log in. I then proceed to try and log in onto FF7 but I get the error "Incorrect Login Information". How can that be I just reset my password?

So I went back to the website and tried logging in. The website also told me I had incorrect login info. So I reset my password.....again. This time though as soon as I was able to get into my account I immediately logged off and tried to log back in. Guess what happened. "Incorrect Login Information." I am severly displeased with what is going on I only made this account to play FF7 and I can't even do that because Square keeps loosing my password. Is anyone else having this issue or do I just have terrible luck?

Thanks in advance for any advice or tips or what have you

About a week ago I bought Final Fantasy 7 re-release for my pc. I had been able to play it perfectly fine up until today, I opened ff7, it downloaded a small update and then asked me to login (unusual as it usually auto-logs in for me). So I tried logging in and it gave me back this error message "Sorry, we're having trouble communicating with the Square Enix Account Management System".

I tried multiple times, I tried restarting my pc, I tried restarting my modem and I just keep getting the same error message. I decided to try resetting my password, followed all of the instructions and it won't even let me do that, it keeps saying I have entered the incorrect answer??? I know I'm not getting it wrong because I know what my mothers maiden name is, TRUST ME!!!

This is a completely moronic system, why the friggin hell do I have to login online to play my offline game anyway, seriously wtf.

Hopefully this question hasnt been answered yet but. You may be signing into the wrong sign in box. Don't sign in to that initial login screen. I had that problem too until I saw the two other log in boxes on the left side of the screen. One says to login with Facebook and the other one with Square Enix NA. Try clicking the Square Enix NA login box and try to login with that. Hope it works for you!

I downloaded and installed Final Fantasy 7 easily in about 15-20 minutes. The splash screen checks for udpates, loads just fine, and I get to the login page. I type in my username and password and get a wrong password message. I have used the apssword reset function 4 times now and it's still not working. I notice that if I log out of the wbeiste I can't log back in to na.square-enix.com with the just chagned password. I have to request another reset and login that way.

I have sinced done that and waited 15 minutes to try once more to see if maybe the servers needed to sync or update or something. But I still cannot login to FF7. I will stay logged in here to keep an eye on the forum.

Hello, I just purchased FF7 through steam and created a square enix account however whenever i try to start ff7 the launcher asks for my account/password and says there's a error. I've gone to my account on the website and it says its unregistered but as far as i know i've done everything to register it including the confirmation email. I'm completely lost as to why something so simple as playing a free-to-play game is being so difficult. Also i have no CD key because steam never gave me one so any help would be great, i just want to play my game :( .

I'm having the same problem. I think it's pretty stupid for a company as large and old as SqEn make customers jump through hurdles to play an old game. Why is this so damned convoluted? Honestly, what competitive edge or value do you think you gain here? I'm pretty frustrated and I doubt Blizzard would give me this problem.

First problem started when I wanted to play the game, after the download and set up, a log-in is required. I don't use facebook, so I had to create a Square-Enix account, which I thought wouldn't be a big deal. Took me almost 30 minutes, after numerous 502 errors, bad links and disgustingly slow load times, I had my account - set up by using my Steam account to, create an extra SqEn account.

I excitedly start the game and get a "We're sorry, an error has occurred."
Close. Load again. ....loading.....loading....."We're sorry, an error has occurred."
Close. Load again...loading....loading....."Please confirm your email, to complete your account."

....FINE. Wait for email, click the link....and guess what.....502 bad gateway error. Try to c/p the link, and I'm informed of the fact that "That token has already been used."

Feeling relieved, I try to load the game up again.

Awesome, log in screen. Shinra - you're going...OH WHAT THE HELL AN ERROR?!

Lets review - I use my Steam account to buy the game. To play the game, I create a Square-Enix account - but use my Steam account to set it up, adding demographic details, and creating a username. I don't get to play the game - for no other reason that Square Enix feels compelled to catalog and capture all the data around my gameplay.

Are you ****ting me? If this is even remotely what the MMO will be, good luck.

I bought ff7 via steam and created an account. When I click "View online profile" it takes me to a confusing page
to login with my username/pass or to login via steam. Logging in via steam doesn't synch my game achievements,
selecting my original username (Nswayze) doesn't log in?

Im about to start playing final fantasy online (the mmo) and I'd like all my accounts (achievements and all to be in the one account)
Using the password recovery feature fails as well as it says no e-mail is found in the database.

I would like to thank Square Enix for adding ANOTHER layer of DRM on top of Steam (really? Is this really needed?) by having me sign up for another account only to have it refuse to work on the game's log-in. Obviously, the new account works on site as I can create this post. Oh, yes, I could try to use facebook to login, but that means agreeing to let Square Enix to hijack my facebook account. Fun.

I chose to pay for the game instead of pirating, because pirating is bad. But stupid design decisions like this is a major reason why people pirate. Please learn from this.

I just brought the game on PS3 and attempted to link it to my current square enix account.

Why does the Square Enix ID field not let me enter my username??....

I can't log in or link my SE account and it's wasting my prepaid time which I got when I brought the collectors edition of the game.

Please give me a fix or help me solve this problem.

No I won't make a new email address which is shorter as I use one which is long for all my things and this is the first time I've ever encountered a stupid problem like this... A cap on the amount of letters in the ID bar? The most ridiculous idea I've ever heard.

Also I have the PC Collectors edition already linked to my account so there's no chance of me wasting £40 by creating a new one.

Fix this please or tell me how to bypass. I attempted to use my Nick Name and Real Name on the login, however this still doesn't work.
