Ok, I received this email a little while ago and I have no idea who it is from or what it says. I opened up a new hotmail account and have never given my address to anyone and have never signed up for anything so how did this person get my email address? The email is really long but here is just a little of it. Does anyone know what it says?

I think it's Italian. It's not Spanish I know that.

It's Italian, indeed, and it begins like this:

This message is not spam.

I can translate the rest for you, but not until tomorrow, since I'm a bit tired.

Hehehehe if it begins with "This message is not spam" then I think we can safely assume that it is most definitely NOT spam!!!!http://westwoodi.net/~smilies/otn/angels/littleangel.gif

I'm really annoyed with hotmail because like I said, the only people who know my new emial address are hotmail themselves. I have also already managed to have 3 emails about porn sites. It makes me mad because I could be a little kid for all they know, and they have no right to share people's email addressses unless the person consents to it. And I most certaintly did not.

AOL is really bad, especially when it comes to security.

About, maybe 3 or 4 months ago, someone managed to get into my AOL account, somehow found my password, and sent out a message to 120 different people, which apparently is an 'illegal action' on AOL. So I pretty much lost my account. Had to create a new one, and it's been okay so far. I have to change my password about every month now, but it was a really pain in the butt. My account got all screwed up. My password wouldn't get stored, so I had to have a new one everytime I logged in last week. I'm not very happy with AOL right now..........:mad: :mad: :mad:

Try getting a yahoo account, they have 3 times the inbox limit, and up until recently they did free pop3 fowarding too. You can still get pop3 forwarding for a small price though.

Did you know Hotmail recently added two READY TICKED boxes to the bottom of your personal profile page and they are;

Share my email address

Share my other registration information

if I were you I'd double check that you've unchecked them!

Yes I saw that last wek and unchecked them. It was really sneaky of them don't you think?

I already have a yahoo acount but it's so much hassel. I find hotmail much easier to use and the instant messaging is way better than the yahoo one.

Oh definately. Always stick with MSN messenger. It doesn't get spammed like ICQ, and isn't as ham-ish as Yahoo. Yahoo just has a more honest and generous email account...

Well atleast all those worries are over for me, because I now have an email addy from my ISP. Woohoo! 12Mb Inbox with pop3 forwarding. Really fast as well (it's my own ISP, why wouldn't it be?)...
