I'm not sure if he intends to announce his latest work here himself or not, but I figured I'd let folks know that Gaylesaver just sent me a little Thief2 engine patch that keeps track of how many creatures see you and how many times they see you. This might be useful for the ghosters out there.

Welcome to the forum, epithumia.:)

Interesting. Thank you. I'd be curious to see how it works. Can you revert to the old version without a complete reinstall?

FYI, this is not the answer to ghost statistics. According to the official rules, what is important is second level alerts. Sightings with only first level alerts ("Must've bveen rats") and without second level alerts are not busts. And second level alerts without sightings (due to sound) are busts.

I think the current patch is a proof-of-concept; it is probable that Gaylesaver can make note of every alertness transition, possibly due to any stimulus.

It might be worth sending him an email (or responding to his thread on the TTLG forum) and giving him some ideas; the version number of 0.1 certainly seems to imply that he intends to improve it.

As to your question, I haven't had a chance to try it for myself; maintaining my site and working on other things leaves me precious little time to actually play Thief.
