Does anyone with Win98SE and Geforce Ti200 know how to get it working without crashing at the first battle? The program loads fine but when I start to fight the first guards, it loads the battle and when they get ready to attack the game crashes everytime. I am using the latest drivers (29.42). I tried the fix that someone else suggested (just using the ff7config from the TNT patch) but it doesnt work either.

I think this had something to do with the Directsound, which should be set to basic in the DirectX-diag menu...But I'm not sure, since I never got this problem (I have GF3"Classic" and Win98)

I'm guessing that the Directsound worked?

The ff7config.exe from the patch is just to get the Direct3D acceleration going. Just don't use the FF7.exe from the patch. Because that crashes if the 8 bit pallet is on. And there is no need to turn it off on that version of driver, because Nvidia finally fixed it.
