So since RW_Slick mentioned about cartidge games i'm curious what is the first game you guys have ever played and what your first console was.
My first console was the Terminator 2 and my first games i ever played(more then 20 years ago) was of course Mario and Duck Hunt.
I'm very curious about the admins, so Driber, Hojo, feel free to leave a reply.

Either pong or pac-man

First console was the Atari 2600 and Commodore 64. I know that is a PC, but ultimately it was a game console.

O man, the nostalgia.

I can't even remember what game was my first one,
Ether pacman (on some old console you could hook up to the tv, can't even remember what console it was as it was installed in a shop to distract kids like me from bothering there parents while they shop) or the first Wario land/Kirby
all I know is I got hooked on gaming pretty much at that point in life.

First gameboy (no color) game was ether lion king (god awful hard game) or Pokemon red.

First ps1 game was Digimon world (1) the game that was the original Digimon before the anime ruined the core of the series and turned it form tamagochi in a Pokemon duplicate.

Final Fantasy 7 was my first FF game on ps1, tough in the day it were rental games for about a week, so I never got very far untill the pc port a few years ago.

Ps2 was Final Fantasy 10

Switched to pc after that and sticked with that up to this point.
First pc game was Aliens vs Predator (yes I regret that purchase)

Seriously tough, so many memory's, only annoying I was born a bit later in the gaming era, I'm trying to catch up to past games even today (just finished playing fallout 1, now playing fallout 2, turned based combat and Hud are a pain, but I can't say it are bad games, especially after joining the brotherhood of steel, getting your powerarmor and upgraded laser rifle to nearly one hit melt any enemy you shoot with it)

Its weird how old game can still be so appealing to play considering the current level game's today have reached in quality and size.
Mainly just that older games are so much harder and user unfriendly, I LOVE old games like fallout and elder scrolls that have 100ds of stats and skills, more has always been better!
especially if it makes the game overcomplicated and offers a crazy wide availability to customization that can ruin the game balance, ether making you so broken that you can't progress anymore as the game becomes impossibly hard, or making you so overpowered that nothing can stop you anymore and actually FEEL like you became the hero of legends people are speaking of (rather then the hero that struggles to survive any battle he ends up in every time, for the sake of game-balance)

O man, the nostalgia.

Ha ha, i know.
My parents bought me my first console at the age of 7 years, the whole neighborhood was at my house and we used to stay all night playing it.Then by the age of 20 when i bought my first ps2 i used to rent consoles and videogames because i couldn't afford one.

The first game i ever played was one of these bad boys when on holiday. Yup, Space Invaders. http://www.jammaplus.co.uk/forum/uploads/1395/Table1.JPG

My love for gaming started with Arcades on holiday. Then my first game was Nintendo Game & Watch in 1985. My Brother got Donkey Kong 1 and i got Donkey Kong 2. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/53/7f/99/537f99f3122849a9cac1876b38768dd4.jpg Every birthday and christmas me and my brother would get a Nintendo Game & Watch game or one of the tabletop games from Grandstand, Tomy etc. Games like Astro Wars, Fire Fox Tomy Tronics and such. We must have had over 100 between us. I sold them all last year and made a fortune.

Then our first computer was a ZX Spectrum 128k + 2. http://sinclair.comboios.info/sinclair/128plus2.jpg

Then we went on to a Sega Master System 2, Megadrive, Super Nintendo, Gameboy, Game Gear, Playstation 1, Sega Saturn, Atari Jaguar, Nintedno 64, Playstation 2, PSP, Xbox 360 and now a PS4. So been around since gaming pretty much began and lived every gen of console really. :gamer:
