Thanks a lot for sharing the dates in advance. i believe elusive tagets are great idea. Only bad decision was the original plan "they can appear anytime, keep checking the game". If you will keep sharing them (ideally have fixed schedule) it will be great.

Good that it's announced far in advance, and good that it's in Sapienza.

But.. I expected to have 1 elusive target and 2 escalations every week, however got only one escalation this week, and it's extremely easy, so I'm disappointed about this. Also it can be thought that IO lost some prepared elusive targets for Paris (I could bet they had a lot of targets designed and they would be released every week after first one).

This is very cool mode, i prefer Elusive target than Escalation.

I have a question : Do you think in the future you will improve the score system ? It will be cool for the player who play without HUD to have a little bonus XD " 5000 pts = No instinct vision ; 5000 other pts : No mini map " And if we kill by accident, why we have a malus ? If it's an accident , i don't see the problem ? ^^

Now i play just for fun, i don't carre anymore about the score system but it's too bad !

Eh i just see on the internet a new about Blood Money so you want to do a remake or just a remastered HD ?

If after Hitman 6 you want to realeased a DLC with a remake of the best missions of Hitman 2,3,4 and Absolution ( why not ), it will be very cool !!! Even if i have to paid 45 or 50 euros the DLC , i buy this day one ! ^^ I already imagine the mission in the thermal bath in Hitman Contract or the mission in the casino of Blood Money but with a version remake like Hitman 6.... Best DLC ever !

What about those people, who will only buy the full game when it comes out finished with all episodes and patches already ?..i presume, that they won't be adding elusive targets until infinity..so at some point, they will have to re-release the elusive targets, for those people.

would be nice to have these extra targets in story mode later on, since the maps are so huge with alot of dead space with really nothing to do. Seems like the maps were designed with contracts mode in mind, yet contracts mode is so screwed up and minimalist, it's pointless to play right now.

I wouldn't hold out hope for that. It would defeat the entire point of the mode.

I think it's tough luck. If they are playable at all in the full release, I doubt they'll come with the rewards.

Really keen to try taking this guy out... of course I've been trying to connect for half an hour with no success. Same thing happened when I tried to play yesterday, and the day before... if you're going to put a time limit on the contracts (which is a cool concept), make sure people can actually play! I don't have all weekend to sit here repeatedly trying to connect so I can play a game I already paid for. Love the game, but getting really *really* fed up with only being able to play it 25% of the time I want to. /rage.

Ok i kill the both elusive target with the red poison in a drink score : 126000 for the congressman ^^ It's very fun !

I just have a problem with the score system. I play without HUD. No map, No Instinct, No help, No Indication of who's looking me , Opportunity on Minimal. Even the weapons/gear icon is off. I just use the white point on the head of the superguard ^^. But i have a problems with two lines on the score :

I guess in english it's " Never Found ". For me we are discovers if a NPC see 47 trying to kill someone or if he have a weapons in is hand. But here, i lost 20000 points because the bodyguard of Francesca don't recognize me... ( i was wanted to take the tape of the surveillance camera )

And the second is " No body Found " , remember in Blood Money, the level Flatline for exemple, you can kill by accident all target ( poison, gaz explosion and the dumbbell, the bodys were found and however we have the Silent Assassin level.
In this Hitman, i kill the target , the body was found and i have - 200000 points... -_-

I prefer the score system of Blood Money, it was more realistic.

Just finished it. This one is so much better than first one. Imho it balances difficulty nicely. The first one wa too easy. This was not crazy difficult, but it did not let me win for free. There were always several NPC ps arround and no place for simple subdue and run. I felt like every solution is risky. Hopefully next targets will be like this one.

Definitely more challenging. Is it me or was there some randomness to his movements? Sometimes he'd head to the wine cellar at the start, sometimes not. Made me have to restart a few times to try to pin him down where I wanted him.

I would seriously take a look at your ISP to more accurately troubleshoot this problem. There's got to be a reason that you're having so much trouble connecting while others aren't having any trouble at all. Subdue glitch has ruined my SA rating and the challenge will remain locked for life.. Thank you so much for that IO! This needs to be fixed immediately. Absolutely unacceptable to have limited edition challenges that can be sabotaged by your servers problems. This has begun to impact my overall experience and I'm so sad that this is HITMAN now. This is what we fans are subject to. I've been a loyal fan since the very first game and this is so disappointing. Please fix these issues and stop negatively impacting our experience. It's getting ridiculous at this point.

Or am I destined to no play ANY elusive targets.

Yet I have the joy of having to pay the same for this limited BS

Showing in the briefing the exact location the target is going to be in at some point takes away all the challenge, and it just becomes a waiting game. Tracking down the target should be part of the fun. More subtle hints would greatly enhance the experience.

FYI, missing out on Silent Assassin achievement because of running over an NPC in the car during cutscene escape was not a very satisfying experience. I killed no-one except the congressman. Was never spotted. Saw the guy in the yellow shirt lying in the street in the cutscene. Not happy. Not happy at all. And the audio device - as mentioned elsewhere - is bugged.

There's got to be a reason that you're having so much trouble connecting while others aren't having any trouble at all. I can understand your frustrations as this game is far from perfect and borderline unacceptable with all the issues we have experienced since launch.
I did assume it was my ISP at first, but I had very few issues in the first 6 weeks or so of the game releasing (far less than most people on the forums from what I could tell), and I can play other games online constantly and never disconnect. I've managed to connect about 8 times today... just to disconnect again before the mission briefing for the elusive contract (and once straight afterwards before I got to mission planning). Such a shame that it requires the connection. I'm really enjoying the game, and it never disconnects mid-mission, but barely being able to play recently makes me wonder if it's worth the wasted time trying to connect. Seriously tempted to try and get it refunded. Really gutted.

I don't understand some cries here:
Why do you cry about SA? Just do it in the standard mode.
You work on weekends? Problem of the few, most of us don't. IO can't consider every person. "I had a picnic with my girlfriend for 2 days why didn't you care about that?"
IO announced Elusive targets at E3 and talked about this mode often afterwards. Still so much talk.

The connection? Playing on PC never had one DC with 75 hours played. So if you have issues on PC it's maybe your fault. Not talking about consoles though.

Just take your time. Both targets are easy to kill with good surveillance.

For the Elusive target. Yeah...I didn't want to mess it up so I waited at the main square tower with a sniper rifle. He walked around the front stairs and I took the shoot. Mission finished within 5 Minutes. I know that I missed so many new dialogue etc. But it's my fault to go for the easy shot.

The Elusive Target mode needs to be revamped bigtime. Here is the vision I had months before the details were released on how this mode works - Your doing a hit on one of the maps when Diana buzzes in your ear telling you that an Elusive Target on their hit list is within the area and a briefing ensues, you now have the duration of the main current contract you're on to complete the 'extra' target task for a nice bonus. Now there is a moment of tension, because you may be close to eliminating your main target and may not want to jeopardize that, but the bonus is substantial and the target is 'Elusive' and the opportunity to get another shot at him is 'unknown' because it is a random event that can occur during playing any of the main contracts. You may fail to kill the 'Elusive' Target in an attempt but escape the area and lose your Suspicion level so you can resume the main target, or die in the attempt, or kill the target but get spotted etc. which adds so much more suspense to the experience as well as to the main missions. Reloading a previous save will not allow for any retries and therefore it can still be a special 'bonus' event that doesn't happen often but isn't a one time only experience. Since map locations are few in number even once they all are released, they can make multiple Elusive Targets for each one adding replay value to the contracts as well, without limiting the overall Elusive Target experience to a one time only event that in my opinion is underwhelming on its own in its current design. Whether or not this method needs to be server related or not to work I am unsure but lack of any server connection in this game for content is a dream for me. This Elusive Target concept would be welcome in online Contracts mode too I believe. There you can designate any npc on the map as an 'Elusive Target' with an assigned bodyguard, set a time limit of your choice, and of course you only have one try to complete the contract no retries or reloads. The option of how many restarts for the particular npc contract you create can be set at your discretion, for those that prefer the 1 shot then they're lost forever concept. Difficult to find, catch, or achieve is what 'Elusive' means, this mode should really be called 'Limited Time Target' which as it stands is unappealing and not worth the 'always online' aspect of the game.

I for one would despise this. If I'm already focused on one mission, I don't want to suddenly have to change my plans to go after a completely new target. I may not have the gear with me that I'd want to take out target 2 in a way I'd be satisfied with, and if I restart, that defies the point of it randomly cropping up.

A pretty lazy effort on elusive #2. Again, the bodyguards are total morons. Too simple. Finished in less than 10 minutes.

Congrats to those of you who succeeded. After my own effort, I saw some YouTube videos of decent takedowns, sneaky ones and brute-force.

IO/SE, just some feedback. I was a more unhappy with the timing of this target release. Last time you gave us a significant amount of a US Eastern Time Saturday and Sunday. I appreciated that as I had plenty of time on the weekend to pick the right time to settle in.

This time you launched pretty early and it was finished too early Sunday morning for me to play during that day, which I would have preferred, couldn't play Saturday due to commitments with family all day. This meant that I had to play it very late Saturday night / early Sunday morning, and while I succeeded in the assassination, I was hunted and killed insanely quickly. Overall I was pretty pleased with my effort and being able to see the target's full path and interactions, but unfortunately I'm 50% on these now because of the higher security on this one, and because I was "dead"-tired. :)

Other people have complaints about timing also. Since this really is a one-shot deal, would it cripple you to give us 72 hours instead, so that many of the players would have a weekday and both weekend days to choose a good time for them?

Yes, I personally saw after watching several cycles to pick my desired location: sometimes they'd take him to the library and sometimes to the wine cellar, etc. Same locations overall, but different orders between ocean/room, cellar, library at times.

Any chance we will also get one of those charts with the stats of how well every platform preformed, the top players and time like we got with the first elusive target?

Its not like it matter's that much, but its always nice to see how people overall preformed.
