Lol, but this is different from the other things i posted in the other thread..

I found this strange thing in the Stone Glyph cavern, this pics looks like (a bit) with Raz...oh, i know this one has a jaw, but look to he's back, wings?it looks like to me :)
Another thing, it looks like he's sucking a soul (if you notice his right arm, it looks like Kain when hes drinking blood in BO2)...

here's the link to it:

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/ancients.jpg

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/ancients1.jpg

----

I found more things too, i know that you guys already know this but theres Angels depicted all over the the place:

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/angel0.jpg
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/angel1.jpg

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/depictions0.jpg
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/depictions1.jpg
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/depictions2.jpg
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/depictions3.jpg
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/depictions4.jpg

----

And i found strange things in the Rahabim area too, like this symbol that is all over the place, that makes me belive that this zone were a templo of Sun(?) before Rahab moved here with his clan:

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/strangesymbol.jpg

The other thing i found was this inside(and outside the Rahab chamber):

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/aretheseturelim.jpg

----
And i found this (you know these ones, and i think you debate them once), but see this, there's a diference on them:

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/couldbekain1.jpg
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/couldbekain2.jpg

one has hair(and it really looks like Kain to me) and the other don't (and it resembles like Kain)...strange huh?

And there's this one that all people know:

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/couldbekain0.jpg

Hey Warp, is this the Runes that you talked about?

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/runes.jpg

---

Now this one is sure strange, it appears to have a somesort of function, but it really don't...aww its hard to explain, see for yourself:

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/top.jpg
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr1/bottom.jpg

What you think about all of this?

warpsavant

Yup, those are the runes under Lord Butterfly.

I don't think that other guy "coulbekain" is Kain, but I guess it could be.

HAHA! That funky Turelim with a moustache again! If Turelims have a mustache does that mean they are rahabim? Why in the E.G.'s name would a Turelim(with a moustache) appear in a place filled with water is beyond me.

Them angels in Nupraptors, were probably Gaurdians I think.

Its also possible that mural is just there for the "shafts of light" it creates, thus making the mural part of a Reaver Forge.

The last pics of th F.G.S. are interesting, I always thought that part of the puzzle could easily be converted to a Shift at Will puzzle. (just remove the portal)

I'm not really sure what to make of the murals. There just aren't enough clues to draw conclusive evidence =(.
The Fire Glyph Shrine I definitely think started out as something else, like I mentioned in the other thread. I *really* think that possibly it was supposed to be combined with the fountain part of the Citadel so you'd have a fire/water puzzle, but again I don't have any conclusive evidence.

I have an interesting question:

Do these murals depict the Ancients as their original state of being? I mean we all know they were cursed with the bloodlust by the Hylden. Does ths just prove that they were originally soul reavers?

I mean Janos in BO2 (when yelling at the Sarafan Lord) said that the Ancients were a good people and the Hylden made them the bloodthirsty creatures they are.

There was also no evidence of the Ancients feeding off humans or cattle before. How would they survive if they had to feed on blood and didn't? We already gathered that they aren't maniacal creatures. It would stand to reason that they were indeed soul reavers. When a creature would die (naturally) they would reave the souls and perhaps that would be the deads way to a better afterlife. Why the ancients look like biblical angels. The humans didn't fear them in the beginning. They were comforted knowing that their souls would be in good hands.

Another question I have is that in these murals, the beings don't have wings. Back to the hylden city murals for a moment, the beings didn't have wings in those either. If these murals predate the curse of the ancients, then those must post date the curse of the ancients. Perhaps it isnt even the ancients the hylden are seen experimenting on, but the human race in general after the ancients were forced to feed on them and turn them into vamps themselves.

I sense a lust for genocide by the Hylden....thoughts?

Isn't this statue the similar being depicted riding on that big bird you posted?

Help me locate that pic so we can compare them.

I dont like those guys. Been talking bout them for years it feels like.

What statue? The one in the Water Glyph Shrine? Compared to the one in the Tomb of Sarafan that leads to the 2 Duamhims and the refill marker?

In SR1, Vampires who had been defeated in any way other than having their soul reaved are confined to the spectral realm as wraiths untill the effect that killed them is removed. Then they become eaters of souls. I wonder if this would happen with say, a removed heart, or a decapitation for instance...

Well i think they were soul reavers, and i say this based on the Elders words: " I restored you to yourself(i think he means is true nature, a soul reaver, an Ancient), Raziel. It was Kain who destroyed you(in this he means the body of Raz).

Im always at your service ;)
i think the "driven from the sun" was a part of the curse too like Janos says to the Sarafan Lord By what right did you lay on us the curse that drove us from the light, and made us predators of humankind?, as for the swirly line i think is the soul being reaved by him. Yes i think they were the creators of the Elder...

I am trying to figure out its rough location for my fic. So I dont say something like, **travels to ustenscheim where a new citadel has been erected*** or something like that. I wanted to put it where Avernus was. (seemed like a logicial place)

I am trying to stay true to form with the map and the locations.

I take the shot Warp want:

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr/statue1.jpg

And i take a new shots because some of the others were hard to see, or just didn't have a good resolution/view:

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr/depictions5.jpg
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr/seraphim1.jpg

And i think i found something interesant, before you go to the boat in the Rahabim area, and where you find two Turelim, this zone appears to be a continuation of the Sarafan tombs...now check this ones:

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr/tombs.jpg
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr/tombs1.jpg

And this ones too:

And if this isn't Vorador, im not the Mighty Doc Az :D

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr/vory.jpg

This one is sure strange too, could be a or The Priestess?

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr/apriestess.jpg

And the most strange thing i saw in this place was sure this one, it reminds me of a corpse (if you look close it looks like nuppy head..ahahha)

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr/strangething.jpg

And i knew this was a somesort of a Temple/Sancturay, just check the Elders saying to Raz"Once a sanctuary against the vampire menace, this abbey has been drowned by the deluge spilling from this wounded land. Your brother Rahab and his brood, devastated even by the feeble rays of Nosgoth’s sun, overcame their vulnerability to water and retreated from the surface. Now they haunt these ruins, and glide in the darkness of its stagnant depths., but i think it was not a water rounded sanctuary but a Sun Sanctuary, because the manner you kill Rahab. And these strange symbols all over the place:

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sr/morestrangesymbols.jpg
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics...rangesymbol.jpg

---

And this one just for fun..BOOOOO

That BOO picture is on the floor in the area outside the Fire Forge, too. I never saw it on the cliff there...

Thanks foir the 2nd pic of the WG statue, it def looks like it may have broken/small(cut?) wings.

The figure on the block is probably a depiction of the preistess, that strange scrawled thing above it I thought was a bird, or some type of Sun Glyhph symbol it looks like. I think that area should have been originally shot out with projectiles or pushed/pulled to lead to new area.

The Giant room with the health or magic refill marker behind the stained glass seems so out of place, there is no reason for it whatsoever. I think this was a forge or early boss room.

Maybe the Abbey was some type of Sactuary to Worship the Sun.

Ok, here's a couple mural questions:

What's with the mural that is just past the first Turelim you encounter in the caves? (It's in the room where you have to go spectral to open the crack in the wall.) It's depicted on the stone at the edges of that wooden door. Looks like some sort of serpent/dragon with a person in its coils...

Also, how about the angelic figures at the first (block) puzzle in the caves that have wings and either fish tails or serpentine legs?

Any ideas?

L_Master562

I like the fact we don't know what all these things mean. I've noticed most before, but a couple are new. Blincons site has some of these things, but as to what sections are what areas (sarafan tomb) Blincoln has a versitle list of what areas are what level of the game on his site. It shows how mixed up the game is and how certain areas are moved for different things than their original intent. Dark Eden was part of the game, and I so wish it wasn't cut. Good things keep coming.

just like teasing us with all these little fine details that take time to find. I wouldn't be suprised if we learn everything is to become far more relevent to the overall story someday. I see patterns come outa stuff like in the image. My mind is quite a logical analitcal one so it shows me things. I know I DON'T use drugs that make you see things like hallucinogens, but I use brain pain killing drugs and a nasal spray stoping nasal backup and draining keeping anything from being drippy, both which I take in the long term. It might make me see things, but I've yet to. Cool if I could. It would give me aq new spin on things. I wonder why two sets of the pills I take have these yellow warning labels on the side saying "Avoid prolonged exposure to direct and/or artificial sunlight", "May cause drowsiness or dizziness", and I get this one being "Do not take aspirin containing products without consent of your physician". That is cause of the high levels of pain killers in this stuff. Don't want more added. That sunlight thing makes me feel like I'm becoming vampiric in nature. Always have prefered the night and never cared for light after one incident long ago. I when working on my grandpa's personal garden (huge though, and quite a huge chunk of land being a good part of a few acres) and had been not been smart enough long ago to wear a shirt and was out all day working. I had to plow, plant, water, and level everything myself. Was easy, but problems came later. I went swimming after I was done working, yet still being in bright sunlight. I ended up having second degree burns and lots of blisters all over my body. I couldn't sit or lay down because of the burns for weeks withought taking heavy painkillers. I now was told I have muscle contraction headaches so take heavy painkillers again. I've only learned what the true problem was after many years of pain. I one day just felt bad, somewhat dissoriented and sick. I had these sharp headpains and at first with the dizziness, things got blurry but later when that stopped I could see fine. My eyesight in both eyes are both above 20/20. I have excellent eyesight with no change in that, and just being dizzy caused the blur. It took long enough for the doctors to deduce that, but they screw up lots of things easily. I have broken both ankles and they said I didn't even have a sprain. Pah!!! They keep showing me X-rays upside down and such so you don't see breaks. The MRIs done to my ankles show otherwise and show obvious signs even now after the past two years of incidents clearly. I must say that patterns can emerge out of anything, being random or not because the human mind tries to make sence of perseptions whether or not these patterns are truly what we see. It is a mind making sence of the jumble. It is interesting seeing I have pictures that are optical tricks. Others are the kind you have to stare at in a cetain way to see things at of a hazy blur of fuzz. What is funny is when I'm tired and things blur I look at the images and It is just like the first time I've seen them not remembering them well. I see things I didn't notice before. Small details I haven't seen just apear to me easier. As I type this at 3:41 things get blurry after not sleeping again the past couple a days. I have problems. Good they are now under control. Too bad my parents are on my case. On my own and they still bring up things I did long ago when with them. Scarry what they remember and bring up when you least expect it. I'm off to play Sr1 right now. It seems I haven't enough in a while cutting back on consol and Pc gaming. I've been busy. Posting more, and need to play more. Been awhile. Off to kill Dumah again!!!!! Wait, I just found an actual Who's Line web site. It's awesome!!!!!!! It has bios and info on everyone. It has each show listed and what happened in them. I'll show you after I'm done exploring links to other sites on the main page of it. I've yet to see a site that actually lasts more than a short time based on WliiA. They seem to either be deleted or stopped updating. Wait, they even have info on the 1988 version!!! Unexpected. Don't see that much anymore. Long live "Captain Hair" the Canadian Colin Mochrie. After I go trough this, I'm going to go back through Sr1 for fine details. I still have the beta picture that appears to be a wall of the human city with the face on the chronoplast boss room door (before second fight with Kain) and the Human face said in this topic as Otmar side by side that was on the now gone GIA. Too bad that is gone now. Good find by me. I may post it again. Haven't sence the old board.

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/anotherentrance.jpg

...and this one of the Human Citadel...i just for you guys know that there's anything here...

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/haveyoubeenhere1.jpg

Now lets go to the Sarafan tombs...

Look to the angel (i think that they are angels) depictions here:
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/razieltomb.jpg
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/tureltomb.jpg
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/dumahtomb.jpg

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/zephontomb.jpg
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/melchiahtomb.jpg

...and the tombless Malek:
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/malektomb.jpg

I found more cool things at the tombs...

I don't know what this looks to you, but to me looks like a demon:
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/tombs2.jpg

And this one, i don't think he have anything special, but i'll post it here anyway:
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/tombs4.jpg

-----

And more Angel depictions...
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/depictions6.jpg
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/depictions7.jpg

This ones that are with the red circle, look like the symbols of the spirit forge in BO1:
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/depictions8.jpg

And this one is interesting because these angels(?) didn't have two wings, but four:
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/depictions9.jpg

-----

And another thing, do you thing this one is the first time-streamer?
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/thefirsttimestreamer.jpg

Oh and this one just for fun...
--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/nice.jpg

Yep, Umah i think that you got an outfit rival... :D

Nope Umah, he didn't have a tomb, because he didn't died he got fused his soul with his armor...snd what you're trying to say is that he got a place in the Sarafan tomb...

There has been no conclusive evidence to support the idea that Malek's remains are not in that tomb. (Remember he did have remains when Morty fused him, they were chained up).

Obviously he was given a resting place by the Sarafan Order. My question is, was he included?

:p

Umah, if you didn't notice he's remains are still at the place where you find the Wraith Armor in BO1, and look at this:

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/malektomb.jpg

And now look at this one:

--> http://nosgothblood.no.sapo.pt/pics/things/sh/razieltomb.jpg

See Malek don't have a tomb, only a wall with ihis name written in... and besides the "Brothers" were buried 530 years (+-) before the Armor-fused-Malek died at Big V's hands(or fangs :p )so theres no way they got him at the tomb...

You dont spend a lot of time in mausoleums do you? :rolleyes:

The tombs are IN the wall. They are pulled out like drawers once the protective casing is opened. That is what keeps the bodies protected during their everlasting sleep.

Secondly, no one was buried anywhere. These people aren't buried, they're entombed.

SR occurs after BO1. (No time streaming at the point where Raziel stumbles into the Tomb of the Sarafan).

All I am trying to suggest is that in the time of the Sarafan brethren's human death and the time that Kain resurrected them, the remains could've been sealed away in the Tomb itself.

There is also no evidence stating that the actual Tomb of the Sarafan existed during the days of the living bretheren. I believe that this place of rememberance was created sometime after the fact. (Post BO1 and possibly during BO2, but definately before SR) This would've been plenty of time to gather the remains from wherever they were housed and move them.

Armor fused Malek is an entity, not a physical remnant of his human self.

yea she's right DMK

im sure they found his remains and put it in a tomb or something:D

Malek's helmet was in the tower at Dark Eden, his Armor was in the Oracle's Museum, *his* skeleton under Avernus Cathedral, and finally his corpse at his Bastion.

its unclear if that skeleton under Avernus is indeed maleks skeleton, but his corpse is at his bastion, and Malek actually mentions looking at his own corpse all the time. So its kind of weird. :eek:

But Malek didn't die with the Sarafan so he didn't get en-Tombed with them, but he was one of the Sarafan Warrior Preists, and so he gets a spot in the tomb. Maybe the coffin is in the wall, but I doubt his remains are there. At the time they were put in the tomb, Malek was probably in the Armor, so they sealed it up and that was that.

The argument about the skeleton in Avernus usualy pointed towards others damned much in the same manner as Malek. It would seem that would happen to others as well. Old subject though. The tombs were most likely already made before the actual deaths of the Brotherhood as they were such prominate figures in the order it was thought ahead. Even if Malek has a tomb already before his death, his corpse wouldn't and couldn't be put in it. The tomb may or may not be there for Malek, and I go isn't as it may have been removed.

but they must have put something inside the coffin

i mean they must have found his armor at least
wouldn't they???

ended up in the Oracle's cave. He brought it back in time or so one would think. The "Oracle" definently has a few nice things in there. Even so, if the armor was in Dark Eden before, who would retrieve, er.. who would dare to retrieve it. Then again, who would find the tomb which was long buried and most likely lost for a long time being sealed up.

i think its just a a memoral to malek thats why theres no coffin just his name. like something to show he belonged there but was unable to join the rest of the dead. but what umah said makes alot of sense.

Nope i don't spend ANY time on mausoleums, graveyards, and churches because they got me scared (lol but true)...

Huh..Umah this ones don't look being IN the wall...

Ok, ok i didn't remembered the word, so i said buried...

Where do you want to get with this? I already know that... :confused:

Yes its a possibility...but i think they got entomb all after they died...

Yes, there's no evidence that the actual Tom of the Sarafan existed during the days of the living brethren, but i don't think that were created post BO1, because who would remember them in 500 years, well this one is quite possible, that they got still remembered, but probably their remains would be lost in that long time.... but, maybe you're right, who knows.

I know, but it can be entombed since theres no body...

And i agree with Warp, L_Master562 and chuffy...

And Warp i don't think that is his real body, i can't remember how it was the image of it (it passed a long time since i play BO1), but the body on his bastion weren't with flesh? If it was its impossible, because like we see in the intro when Morty fused his soul to the Armor the flesh of his body disapeared leaving only his skeleton...please enlighten me on this.

And Umah, your theory on Malek is very good, i like it, but somehow it doesn't make completly sense to me...oh well ;)

Entering the heart of the Bastion:

The guards at the gate offered no resistance; they were frozen solid and dead as they stood, their flesh welded to the cold metal of their armor . . .

Kain
A corpse held court on a tattered throne, grinning malignantly at me through blackened teeth.

Malek
It is not often that a man sees his own corpse, it is a sobering experience. But I am far less interested in my own corpse than I am in yours. Prepare yourself, vampire.

First of all, these images are fantastic! If I repeat anything that's been said, forgive me and ignore it...

The statue resebling the figure on the bird as much as it does, are those wings possibly elements of some sort of worn ornaments? Certainly a bird-riding warrior might put wings on her helmet...

I'm not sure that Nupraptor's window is significant - most of those images look like Renaissance paintings of events in the life of Christ, whom I sincerely doubt appears in the Nosgoth story...

Umah, the last time I played through SR, I tried to make a rudimentary map as I went along. The Abyss is just north of the Pillars, and the Citidel off to the Northwest of the Abyss somewhat. It seems to be a new edifice...

I think those are just exposed bricks, as if some sort of plaster chipped off or something...

Zephon's angels are blind. Interesting...

looks like a few Reaver symbols in the Chronoplast?

LOL yeah, I always thought the Water chick was pretty hot myself! ;)

It makes sense to me too that the Tomb may have been built beforehand... I sometimes wondered if perhaps Malek was not buried there because his "failure" to protect the Circle disgraced him, and so he was not remembered with the martyrs. After all, there is no mural of him with the others (yes I know he is still "alive" or whatever at that point.) Maybe there's something there, maybe not. What IS there are a bunch of two-fingered claw marks...

Cool stuff! What else have you got?

Right now in empty, but i'll take more shots in the morning, i have to sleep awhile..., and i'll create a webpage(probably an update to the nogothblood) with this shots w/your theories (and mine :p )
So stick around... :)

There are some excellent theories wrapped up into here concerning the original Ancient race (and another mural discussion).

I felt that it still held some significance to the Ancients originally being a soul reaving race.

Enjoy!

You would indeed... The Human Citadel is more north than north-west of the Abyss so if you said it was slightly to the north you'd be more or less spot-on! :)

But "West to the Abyss..." from where? To our limited knowledge, there is no access from the east, just north, south, and west...
