View Full Version : Strange assertion fail when computing pathfinding

2nd Jul 2002, 22:12
Has anyone had a problem in the past with assertion fails while trying to compute the pathfinding database? Here's what I keep getting:

LINKID_RELATION (id)==Vec.Relation()
(File: linkarray. cpp, Line: 301)

I checked my monolog text file and found this entry: Adding moving terrain objects...[linkarry.cpp@301] LINKID_RELATION(id) == Vec.Relation()

Moving terrain objects?

Capturing specific rooms with an area brush has no effect. I get the same crash whatever I do. Any ideas would be just dandy at this point in time...I'm running out of things to throw at the screen. :(

bad elevator or will-o-wisp! check your terrain points (or lack thereof) and links

"Bad will-o-wisp...No cookies for you tonight!" :mad:

Thanks for the quick taff' KoMaG. The thing that threw me was the link, as I hadn't linked it to anything. Forgot about the FX that are already linked to it. :rolleyes: :D

A happy ending to this tale then. :)

Is something wrong with me? I immediately thought "elevator" when I saw that error.

Yes, that same error happens with elevators - will-o-wisps are like elevators :)
