The above was copied today from R&M thread on tongues.

It is now 1230 PM PST. Why are the times 7 plus hours different. I have noticed this a few times over the last few days.

It does not stay constant but seems to put whatever time it wants very erratically.

EDIT Now when I come back and read the post again the time has changed to a different time.

I've heard that when you get old, you often doze off and lose track of time, dream things, and then wake up discombobled....especially when sitting in front of a computer.

Not that that has anything to do with this thread :o

I just thought I would mention that. ;) :p :D

It looks as though you have not set you GMT offset in the User Control Panel.
If you do not set this then all times will be displayed as GMT +0

The GMT adjustment is set and shows at the bottom of the page.

But why would it translate posts made by others instead of saying GMT -8:00. As is evident on first reading prior to log in it shows the 7 plus hour difference. Then the posts are adjusted the second time they are viewed.

If the server is GMT +/- X hours then the times should be consistant as they were in the "old" forum.

There may be an explanation, but as yet I've not heard it. :D
