How come you moderators get to keep your register date and post count, and we members don't?

just woundering

One more thing...if I got announcements regarding my flash movie can't I post it in the announcement forum?

iakovos
28th Jun 2002, 20:52
That is highly irregular and self promoting... Oh..look, the mods have 2000 plus messages while us have 3 to 4!!!!

Iakovos:mad:

PS. And I want my old registration date too!!!:p :p

Yeah its a bit annoying to have to start all over but hey I'm sure some of you will be up to 2000 again in a month or so...

Anyways when is the old forum gonna disappear?

Well the thing is that there were over 34000 members on the old, so you can imagine how long it would take to restore everyon's postcount and registration date.

No, then you will just have to post a regular post, announcements & announcement forums are for mods & admins only.

Yes, but isn't it very convenient to restore YOURS and not ours? Btw, I am not saying YOU should restore mine. Just say the way you did it and each member on its own could restore his own post account.
I feel cheated... twice by you having your regular posts and me having none. If you were also a junior member I would have nothing to say about it. BUT this IS cheating...

Iakovos:(

Yeah that's right Iakovos.

Why would you mods wanna have that many posts anyway. Is post count the only thing that matters to you?

If I could restore yours I would do it immediatly, but only the admins can do it:( I'll ask or I can be admin for a few moments to restore it. I'll let you know:)

Is this a Commandos priviledge? Thinking everyone else from the other games can't have it put back? I was so close to 2000 too. I never got to 2000 in any forum ever. Ok, I'll stop ranting in your forum now. :p

I am not asking for personal favours here, @m.
If you could restore mine I would be more than happy, but other members here would like to have the same privilege too.
Thanks for making it so... for ALL....

The Time zone is completely inaccurate wish they can do something about it, it's confusing at times.

Is there still that rule about closing threads once it reaches 100 posts?

No, the new forum can handle long post very well, but if the server loads get to high it will be closed aswell.

I said if I can, that is when admins make me admin and I'm not sure they are going to allow it but it would be the only possibility.

We are currently discussing in the moderator forum or it would be possible to give us the 'power' to edit profiles. Well Xcom posted it there, I already mailed the admins.

So @m is the new forum going to let us used the option in using an avatar? or is it completly out of the picture, that is using that feature.

Longshot

I think avatars are possible as Eidos is using the same forum as Infogrames and you can do that over there so I'm sure it can be done, but I haven't checked it out yet.

34,000! When only a tiny fraction of those were active They should deregister a member if they haven't posted for more than, like, 3 months.

They were standing in line to register when they happened to notice each other. They got into an argument that went on so long the people behind them just started moving around them to the registration window. When the office closed for the day they were still at it.;)
