So, I think we still don't have a topic for alternative versions of music and covers. I searched and didn't find any. Since we have one for AMVs and one for cosplays I think we should have one.

Then lets get the party started. My sugestion is posting the Version you like and giving a brief summary about it and/or why you like the version you posted.

I'll start with two songs from KH 358/2 Days. I've been listening to its sound track a loot lately. While lots of people don't like the game, because it's rather repetitive and slow paced, for me, it has the best last hour from the series. I like Xion a lot, she, togheter with Roxas, definines sadness. Or they are just emo, if you prefer. Anyways, her theme 'Musique pour la tristesse de Xion' is another master piece from Yoko Shimomura. But, a youtube user, 1BlueRozez1, managed to create awesome lyrics for the song. User BelovedStar18 lent her voice and, wow, just wow. I get shivers everytime I hear this version:(Spoiler alert: Days ending)

The second song for today is the final boss battle theme, Vector to the Heavens. Shimomura made another incredible song for the battle, using the base melody from the Xion's theme. I love when the composers do this, linking songs togheter, Uematsu has done this in many Final Fantasies. Anyways, it's an epic song. And who doesn't love guitar covers of epic songs? Cover done by AttackAndConquer

Well that is a simple choice. Simple and clean remix.

A japanese(??) musical group that does a lot of covers from SE musics, mainly Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger, is the Moon Bow Music Video. The great thing about those guys is that they are an acoustic group, two guitars and one bass. Since I'm a bassist on my free time, I love how the basist does some melodies using the bow. Some of those guys videos:

Frog's Theme

Clash on the Big Bridge (the best music from FF V, IMO)

And Aerith's Theme

Another awesome musician that does some very well planned medleys is Fredde Gredde. He has quite a bit of them, two of them has SE musics in it.

The videogame rock medley

Look in his channel for a Mega Man 9 Rock Medley. The gameplay by itself is worth the trouble.
