Why do you get most of the score from killstealing and assists? And assist is most likely "deal at least 1 damage to enemy before enemy is killed by your ally"

You can carry team with huge damage while your team randomly lasthits all the kills and thus gets more exp than you.

Typical "stats = everything" mentality.

Assist score is determined by the percentage of damage you did to the enemy. You do 85% damage, you get 85 exp (default value, if you use a booster, multiply) when the enemy is killed. If you do 1 damage, you get 1 exp. Finishing off an enemy is important, because a heavily wounded enemy can just eat or go to the nearest Supply station and heal and all the damage you did goes nowhere, while kills give your team the score.

This. One guy weakens the enemies, the other guy finishes them off. That's teamwork!
