Already pre-ordered.

SE is really doing it. And not only are they releasing this series, they're actually starting to learn a little about PC and are giving us options--720, 1080. Good for them.

Hi Grimoire! Is Lightning Returns still coming to PC yeah? It's my favourite game and I'm upgrading my PC so I can hopefully play it with better performance than XIII and XIII-2.

Don't worry - I haven't heard anything indicating otherwise. :)

Phew! That's good to hear. I know there's been a little bit of controversy about the performance of the games on PC but it's only because we love the games so much. We do really appreciate you guys bringing the XIII series to PC you know :)

Excited for Lightning Returns now!

Any update on the patches at all Grimoire? I hate to sound impatient, but there has been nothing official about this AT ALL!

If not then please send/link this message to whomever is in charge. I can fully understand if you aren't kept in the loop at all times, but someone needs to start giving some answers.

Currently the game is close to unplayable and the players themselves have to find fixes. I bought the game on the 18th of December, had lots of problems with it and ultimately stopped playing to wait for a patch. Almost 2 months later I have yet to see an update from you. Why do you even have a forum thread for issues (http://forums.eu.square-enix.com/showthread.php?t=149223) and this thread for news and updates if you don't plan on using them to meet the quality that your customers demand? I can't be the only user frustrated by this and I've even tried mailing to the support people who were helpful and nice about one of the problems I had back in December regarding audio. In the end none of the solutions helped however. Besides that there's still the weird FPS bugs, random crashes, and the list goes on if you take just a brief look at the forum thread with issues (or the Steam forums for that matter).

My experiences with the past three Square Enix PC ports that I bought have all been horrible (FFXIII-2, Murdered: Soul Suspect and Thief). To me it seems like someone higher up in your hierarchy is just trying to shovel titles out the door and forget about it afterwards. Not only is that not a fair way to treat your customers and fans, but it is not fair to your employees who will have to hear for it afterwards because they had to meet an impossible deadline. The gaming industry is taking a turn for the worse these years with AAA games that are released too early and I fear that Square Enix is becoming one of the sources of this problem, if they are not already. It pains me to say it, because as a fan who has played Final Fantasy from I to XIV (including a large number of spinoffs, collectors editions and figures) I've grown rather fond of the franchise and the company. In the past few years the love I've had for the franchise has died bit by bit and is slowly becoming shame for wanting to love something that seems less than it should be and less than what seemed promised.
I didn't mean for this post to go completely off track, but this isn't just about fixing Final Fantasy XIII-2. It's also about fixing reputation, it's about fixing Final Fantasy as a franchise and it's about fixing Square Enix.

Kind regards,
One of the many fans who just want to see you succeed in being the best you can be.

[QUOTE=Grimoire;2to implement into Xiii, Xiii-2 and Lightning Returns would be options in the launcher for:

-VSync: ON, OFF (The December Update has hard-locked the game's Vsync so you can no longer turn it off.)
_Refresh Rate: 30hz,
I think implementing these options would help greatly with people's problems and shouldn't involve too much editing of the game's code as I know you are very busy people. If you could please pass this on to the relevant department I would be very grateful.

Thanks Grimoire.

Hi Grimoire, I'm sure Square are bound by time constraints like any company, and I know it's not that you don't want to make your fans happy. I think the simplest thing for you to implement in an update for the XIII series would be options in the launcher for:

- VSync: ON, OFF (The December Update has hard-locked the game's Vsync so you can no longer turn it off.)
- Refresh Rate: 30hz, 60hz. (To keep framerate in line with refresh rate for smoother gameplay.)
- Framerate: 30, 60. (So if people's hardware can't reach the desired framerate they can still at least have a smoother experience.

I think implementing these options would help greatly with people's problems and shouldn't involve too much editing of the game's code as I know you are very busy people. If you could please pass this on to the relevant department I would be very grateful.

Kind Regards, Sam.

I've tried contacting support about the issue, but nothing has worked. Final Fantasy XIII has worked fine since its patch; however, Final Fantasy XIII-2 crashes my computer totally to the point of me needing to force a shutdown every time, after only a few seconds of gameplay. XIII used to do the same. It's been 3 months, and no patch yet! I love you guys and your games, and I know you guys work hard. However, we need a patch to help this game's stability! Any update on future patches would be fine!
