So I made a sudden realization of hoe fore-shadowed this game was.... way back in episode 1 Jefferson said this during his lecture about photograpghy...

Think about it... he seemed to adore how easy and amazing Arbus's work was, so why not do the same thing in the modern world, where more innocence could be captured, where people are less likely to have seen as much bad things as back in Arbus's time... They warned us from the start what was happenning...
(P.S. sry for bad quality they were images taken straight from my playthrough on an old graphics card, i was able to improve it recently so it isn't a problem anymore.)

My goodness! Have you really only just noticed this?

To be fair I haven't gotten to really look back at all the other episodes and stuff yet, nor have I watched too many others. I was editing a video for my YT channel while watching somone play the first episode and caught this, just thought i'd share for all who had yet to notice :P

And what if it means the exact opposite?

"any of you could do the same to me".... What could this mean!!!

I do not know. But what could mean this line: "isn't it too obvious?" Isn't it indeed.

And he also said latter on "it's easy to point fingers".

exactly. We pointed fingers at Nathan all season long, and it was too obvious indeed. I talk about it a bit after i finish the episode on my playthrough but yeah, I think they are done with the twists, episode 5 should mostly be about resolution and question answering now, but who knows, that's what we thought about episode 4...

And maybe not just Nathan but also Jefferson himself?

possibally, but I feel like that would be turning a top on its head and then back on it's feet.... a bit much in my mind

I think what Jeffersonwas saying in episode 1 was a bluff. So that he would never be suspected at the beginning. I doubt it was an indirect statement to the player that things are not as they seem.

Also, let's not forget the teaser for episode 5...Jefferson is about to dose Max again as she's begging him not to. Not a nice dude. I had suspicions about Jefferson from the first episode. I got wrapped up into the Nathan shenanigans, but every time I felt Jefferson was involved somehow. I can't say I was blown away at ep 4's ending. It was more like "I KNEW it!"

Well I actually was blown up. But my first thought was "That guy in the forum was right!" ;)

I never suspected him. In the previous episodes there isn't any actual proof that he could be that kind of person. And, as Nathan seemed as a clear villain, Jefferson seemed as the nice guy, perhaps a victim.

It is amazing how everyone (including myself) didn't understand what Jefferson actually said. And what he said is the EXACT OPPOSITE!

We just took some phrases but did not even tried to look at this conversation as a whole.

It goes like this:

Jefferson: Now, can you give an example of a photographer who perfectly captured the human condition in black and white?
Victoria: Diane Arbus.
Jefferson: There you go, Victoria! Why Arbus?
Victoria: Because of her images of hopples faces.
Jefferson: She saw humanity as tortured, right? And, frankly, it is a bull<censored>. I could frame any one of you in a dark corner, and capture you in a moment of desperation. And any one of you could do that to me. Isn't that too easy? Too obvious?

Line "And any one of you could do that to me" does not mean that he wants that someone did that to him. It means that anyone can do it to anyone, and so, there is nothing special or interesting about it. He literally dismiss the whole idea about capturing someone in a dark corner as a bull<censored>.

Yeah! And everything people say why they suspected Jefferson was just a paranoia. There wasn't any actual proof of what is Jefferson doing.

But there is actually isn't. His agenda is still unknown. It does not necessarily means that he is a good person. But it pretty much looks like that it is not the photos he wants.

I meant there wasn't any proof that Jefferson is the bad guy.
