Let's create a community fan fic story. The rules:

- max 250 characters (handy tool (http://www.wordcounter.net/)) of text per turn
- max 10 turns per day per member
- copy&paste the text of the latest participant and add your own sentence in bold text at the end
- defining traits of Lara should adhere to current official lore
- no shipping, romancing, or sexual content (sorry AA et al. :p)
- after you post a story piece, scroll up to see if no-one posted while you were writing. If so, edit your post to make it fit again.
- try to keep the story serious and coherent; no "Lara reached out her hand to save Sam from falling to her death when...... suddenly a meteor crashed into earth, killing everyone"

The rules are dynamic and may change during the story, depending on demand.

And don't worry about perfect spelling/grammar :)

Okay, I'll start off:

Lara was on her way to meet Jonah and Sam for lunch at their favorite restaurant, when she started to feel as if someone was following her.

Btw, guess who came up with that idea? :p :D

Lara was on her way to meet Jonah and Sam for lunch at their favorite restaurant, when she started to feel as if someone was following her. She didn't look back. It was probably just her imagination, she was thinking, after all what happened on Yamatai.

Yes, credits go to Ellie for coining the idea for this thread, as well as helping forming the story rules :thumb: :)

It was probably just her imagination, she was thinking, after all what happened on Yamatai. Lara walked into the restaurant, where her friends were already sitting in a corner booth. As Lara walked towards them she noticed Jonah firmly holding onto a old looking suitcase that stood next to him on the floor.

At first glance it seemed a suitcase like any other. Except it wasn't. Lara's eyes noticed something unusual along the lip of the case. Runic markings that didn't resemble any language, modern or ancient.

Aww.. I was tempted to do that. :(

Anyhow,

Lara sat down besides Jonah, her interest totally in the suitcase now. What are those markings? As he ran her fingers over them. they appeared to glow. And for but a moment she heard a whisper in her head. Or maybe she thought she did.

You're doing it wrong, IL :/

You gotta quote the whole text and add maximum 250 characters to the story.

Here's the story so far, if you want to try again, or someone else wants to have a turn:

"Don't look so worried little bird!"

Smiled Jonah warmly.

"I cooked fish for my two favourite girls!"

The Colossal Maori produced a foil wrapper onto the table containing a delicious cooked sea bass.

"Wow!...Is it ok for us to eat that in here?"

Sam inquired eying up the treat like a lucky cat statue come to life, bunching her fists together like little paws.

"Lara?"

Sam flicked Lara's forehead to snap her out of whatever-it-was-she-was-obsessing over this time.

"Huh? What was that?....Ohh...It's always food with you guys!"

The archaeology major smiled, hastily shutting the suitcase, part doing it to throw Sam off trying to cheer her up.

Who or what was that voice???

"It's a camera", Lara realised.

"Whose cam is this?", Lara asked, feeling slightly uncomfortable. Approaching Lara slowly from behind, Sam said: "It's an Arri, baby." Lara felt Sam's breath in her neck. "Whose Arri is this?", she asked. "It's Zed's", Sam answered, giving her a kiss to the neck before letting her go to take the Arri out of the suitcase. "Who's Zed?", Lara wanted to know. "Zed's dead, baby. Zed's. dead."
