In reddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/1z69f0/oculus_rift_settings_in_thief_2014_files/) someone has found something really interesting inside baseengine.ini, although they have mispelled "Oculus" (it's with just one C):

BaseEngine.ini:

; Occulus Rift settings
;VRResX=1280
;VRResY=800
;VRRenderResX=1440
;VRRenderResY=1620
;VRFov=101.09986
;VRRedShift=0.960
;VRGreenShift=0.969
;VRDistortionCenterX=0.011
;VRDistortionCenterY=-0.004
;VREyePitch=0
;VRProjectionTranslationX=0.16
;VRProjectionTranslationY=-0.027

Also

MaterialBindings=(EffectName=VR, Parameters=((Name=VRDeformationTexture),(Name=VRLeftEyeTexture), (Name=VRRightEyeTexture)))
MaxSmoothedFrameRateVR=90
MinSmoothedFrameRateVR=60
mbCalibOnlyYaw = False;
mbOrientPawnToVRHead=True

Any official statement from Eidos? :D

i noticed these settings as well when poking around. I would kill (figuratively speaker, calm down) for rift support when the consumer version is released.

Hell yeah, I'll preorder myself the consumer version as soon as I'm able. VR will totally revolutionise gaming as we known it. Can't wait! :D

The game has some issues that would make rift use unpleasant, like the hand animations and the 3rd person climbing. Actually any automated movements like the way they implemented mantling would be quite nauseating. The general gameplay should work pretty well though.
