View Full Version : How do I start the 32bit version in steam?

OS: Windows 7 64Bit
The problem is quite simple, if i use the 64bit version, i got ~5-15fps, no matter which settings i use, the videos stutter, audio too -> unplayable.

If i start the 32bit version (which is only possible with a crack atm) i got 25-50fps, videos run fluid, no stuttering at all.

Is there a command für steam, so that it will use the 32bit version? Starting the game from
...SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Thief\Binaries\Win32\Shipping-ThiefGame.exe
only pops up the starting screen from thief and this will start the 64bit version again. That's why i'm using a crack 'cause i don't have a "normal" solution so far.

Someone at the steam forums posted a solution and it works fine now.

Temporary solution, just copy the contents of Win32 folder to Win64 folder =)

But don't run Steam Check cache integrity, it'll return x64 files back at it's place.
