View Full Version : Terrible frame rates especially on SLI

So I read that Thief would support SLI (I have 2 GTX 560 Ti's) upon launch before I bought it, and I generally rely on my SLI setup to give me decent frame rate. After launching the game in with SLI enabled, (and with things like SSAA and FXAA off) the game ran at about 6 fps. After turning all the settings down to low, I averaged 12 fps. After disabling SLI and turning all the graphics settings to highest, it ran around 22 fps, but would not improve any more as I turned off settings.

Not sure if this is common or not, but it's a bit frustrating that the game will not run in SLI mode. Is there anything I can do to help it run more smoothly or to run in SLI? And if not, will a patch be coming to either add or improve the current SLI profile?

Current driver version is, 334.89.

Similar specs here. I'm running at 1440 x 900 with all everything maxed. I haven't had any issues and the game runs smooth with no jitters or drops. SLI enabled and both cards have increased temp / gpu load while I play. I am running on a completely clean system though, recently had to reload Windows. Your graphics cards are a step above mine, so you shouldn't be having any issues.

Im running the same drivers with 2 x 680s and both are at 99% so it definitely has good sli support. Maybe verify integrity of game files or re install the drivers. Or maybe find some sli bits for inspector..

Yeah, maybe. I've tried a few things, but it seems just like it would be best to run it on a single gpu. Maybe they'll come out with a new patch or driver soon.

Try the Nvidia Inspector tweak in my post here (http://forums.eidosgames.com/showpost.php?p=1992333&postcount=59) and see if it helps at all!

All Nvidia users running SLI should disable it for Thief. Your FPS/stuttering issues will vanish.
