Hey, I pre-ordered thief because I was super excited to play it (it looks awesome!!). It came out today and I went to play it. I can get into the main menu, but when I try to PLAY, it loads up and just closes after it finishes loading. I have NOT even gotten to move around :/

It turns out, that apparently my video card (on my laptop) is not good enough to play thief (Unfortunately I'm not a computer wizard who knows if the VidCard 190482 is better than the VidCard 908211).

I was wondering if I could maybe get a refund on the game so I could buy it hardcopy for my PS3. I will uninstall the game from my computer if this request is accepted... Otherwise i'll just dwell in sadness about the $45 dollars I just wasted while I look at the beautiful menu screen.

When the game crashes crash information is left behind in this same Thief folder. Please provide the dumps for the time/date at which you had the problem you are trying to resolve.
Please provide clear information on what exactly happens when trying to play the game on your machine. Do you manage to get into the launcher or does it already happen before that? I can get past the main menu, into the loading screen.
Does the game always crash at a specific point in the game, or randomly after a certain time?
Always crashes at the EXACT same time. Right after it is done loading it goes 'SEE YA SUCKER!!' and just closes. No warning nothing. :/

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as Steam is refusing to give me a refund it seems :mad2:

Contact eidos on webpage and it is your fault for not looking at the system requirements. Next time just buy it on the PS 3 and avoid the headache.
