Are they polyphonic ring-tones?

I remember buzzing off creating "Another one bites the Dust" on a Nokia 3410.

Terrific!

Is it just me or is there some resemblance between Anna Kelso and Mary DeMarle?

Why not. JJB looks a bit like Adam, yeah? :D
Way to immortalise yourself.

I mean... I guess they're neat. I would have rather had a similar collection for Human Revolution, and in all honesty there's a whole thread dedicated to obtaining audio files from the game, so we could just make our own ringtones.

Also wow, all female characters have a shameless ass pose. Wow. Wonder what the "feminist gaming press" will say about that.

Damn. I liked that character in the book. :/

...What the hell is your problem with Mary's appearance? O_o

Yeah, noticed that. It's especially bad with Fedorova.

Also...I'm not really sure what to make of Namir's pose. Or his expression.

I'm sure he meant that he had a preconceived notion of what she looked like and having her look like a person from real life might be disillusioning.

Fedorova's butt pose fits the character to a T. Anyone who's read the book or played Human Revolution, knows she kinda oozes sex.

But Anna's is just exploitative and pandering. I loved her pose on the cover of the book. She was beautiful and intriguing without resorting to idiotic ass or boob shots.

OK. It's official.

JJB - Adam Jensen

David Anfossi - Ben Saxon

Mary DeMarle - Anna Kelso

Not interested but thanks for the offer. Now how about a job? SDK maybe? Deus Ex 4? ;)
Just wait 'till the final version of GMDX, I'll give you Deus Ex. Expanding on the content not stripping down.

Yes I am an ass, no need for anybody to call me out on it
I won't be supporting the Fall but I'll keep quiet, won't reign on the parade. It's existence better be worth it.

I don't think the devs really look anything like the characters including Jensen-JJB. Maybe slightly reminiscent but probably purely coincidental ('cept Jensen, who I hear was based on JJB's physique and beard or something because of mo-cap).

Or he hates her guts for being a terrible writer, i think. At least according to him

Because it's a mobile app. Lol.

Haha. I didn't think she was awful. I agree that some of the writing decisions in HR were questionable, and nobody will ever be able to convince me that the whole "find Megan" plotline wasn't a direct result of her being a woman and them generally favoring stories like that. Not every woman, but women in general do tend to favor plotlines such as that.

Really it just made Adam look pathetic.

Actually I'm pretty sure the whole "damsel in distress" angle is more of a male fantasy. If we were going to judge Mary's writing purely based on her sex ("her being a woman and them generally favoring stories like that") I'd have expected the game to have more strong female characters, not one that turns up then disappears for 90% of the game then comes back and does nothing.

Well, a little bit of both actually. Having her design being changed was bad, but it didn't help at all that the model for the remodeling was a person that I find appalling that she is working as a lead writer on so many AAA games, while she butchered all of them. I don't even know how she got hired in the first place in the gaming industry, the dudette
clearly hasn't studied Writing 101! And now she will be immortalised in a DX game! *Sigh*

I don't think it has to do with with her being a woman. I think she was trying to go for the "Oh I'm too serious and mature for a simple conspirecy story! We will try something new! What about a love story?!" I mean seriously, we raided a fema concentration camp. We were on a time that Bob Page was ready to go against the illuminati. And what did we get? A love story and Augmented Zombies. I wouldn't mind so much but it is a badly writen find the lost love story!

Ah but she wasn't in distress, really. It was a man having that fantasy in the game itself. I guess you could call it meta, but like I said it just comes across as pathetic, because it's made pretty clear early on that whatever you may be chasing is not worth it.

My interpretation of that is that she knew she was selling a game to a primarily male audience, regardless of how much game companies want to sell to "everybody" these days. Mind you it's only that specific part of the plot that hints at any kind of gender-orientation to me, and for all I know I could be way off the mark. This is just how I interpret it.

Augmentation zombies were pretty bad, yeah.

That's the third (fourth?) time you've spammed that vid. Totally worth it, those augbies are hilarious.

It is?

Also, Jensen is after the guys who stormed Nassif (yep, it's Nassif now) industries & basically murdered him and plenty co-workers. He is also initially unsure whether Megan was murdered too. So there is likely the pursuit for vengeance and answers behind his motives too.

Vid spam eh? D'ya know who is a really cool guy? Steven Seagal:

Hey at least mine was on-topic, and totally relevant to augmentation zombies being a terrible idea. =P But also can you blame a guy? I was pumped when I discovered that bug.

You're right about the personal quest for vengeance to some extent, but that's never played up in the story. It's always presented as him pursuing the people who took Megan rather than the people who took his humanity.

Released yesterday for iOS Deus Ex: The Fall is all about giving the player options, unless that player is attempting to run the game on a jailbroken iPhone or iPad, in which case it removes one of the most important abilities in the game — pulling the trigger.

It is. I'm having a discussion with my friend as to whether this move by EM is legal or not. It seems to me that this is some kind of false advertising or mistreatment of paying customers.

AlexOfSpades

Isnt it ironic?

A game where hacking is one of the main mechanics, where dark corporations have more power than the government screw their customers (Versalife and Gray Death/Ambrosia, Coffee Wars in DX:IW..), a game where illegal cybernetic biomodification is a thing...

.. boycotting users that have modified their Apple devices.

Wow.
