Chinese isn't a language, though. Every time I try and translate it from "Chinese" to English, Tai Yong comes out "Tai Yong".

These two words are apparently the black hole of language.

Apologies, you are absolutely correct. Chinese is in fact, a language family with many different dialects. TBH, I'm not sure which dialect was used in the translation, although that is the information the Deus Ex writing team gave me. Can anyone here clarify which dialect was used, by any chance? :)

Don't trust free translation tools Pinky.

I don't trust them. They're often times a good starting point, though; give you the base idea. In this particular case, they were of no help - and I tried three different translators.

"Tai Yong" translates to "Tai Yong" no matter how you work it or which site you use. Seems impossible... or at least practically untenable.

You probably need to translate from the Chinese characters. It's different for languages with scripts rather than a straight up alphabet.

I suspect the same thing also.

So I have to ask... with all the effort to keep the Deus Ex community alive, can we expect more DLC, or official news that the next game is in the works? Or is all of this merely a campaign to keep selling Human Revolution?

Barrett is Sarif Industries' head of security

And Megan Reed's lover, who's also boinking her mum.

The truth is all in the subtleties. In Adam Jensen's apartment, the mirror is broken and will not reflect his image.

Technically he does do a very good job of securing the Sarif labs from pesky employees and security officers.

Tai Yong is Chinese for "sun", we're informed.
This matches up with the Icarus myth too.
