There have been plenty of hilarious moments in the community but I remember the time I first listened to the podcast where JF Dugas was made to read the Deus Ex Ninja Revolution fanfiction, I laughed myself to tears.

What about you other guys? I'm probably forgetting some other hilarious moments on the forum or Youtube...

Rindill the Red's "Hairy-chested samurai from hell (http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?p=1519453&highlight=hairy+samurai+hell#post1519453)" based on someone's Anna Navarre artwork. (Read the next page too, its where it appears).

It made a cameo appearance in other threads, and everytime it popped up i died of laughter.

Edit: Angel A's Card Crusher Meme (http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/312/4/5/card_crusher_ultimate_by_kv_angel_a-d32g39v.png)

Also, i remember that a lot of people were criticizing Square Enix for joining efforts with EM on the DX series, and some people started to speculate that some "anime" or "Final Fantasy" themed Deus Ex would be the result. Pinky Powers posted an image of Tidus from FFX (http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110815051844/finalfantasy/images/7/77/TidusCGScreen.jpg) wearing sunglasses in the Deus Ex cover. I couldnt find it, though. But it was hilarious. Maybe Pinky himself will be able to find it for us?

CODEllite bro.

Lmfao, that 'samurai', I now remember that.

Legendary.

Angel-A has done lots of great Deus Ex stuff too.

I have to say, I really enjoyed the 'caption threads' which almost always evolved into photo-shopping characters, mods and devs into hilarious situations. Good times.

I always enjoyed the massive arguments we had about aspects of the game (Regenerating health, third-person elements, in-game advertising, etc). Arguments make a forum worth visiting.

Also, I miss Scadvid. She was a classy troll.

The copypaste thread and how annoyed I got at how MyImmortal was always positive about everything.

I miss K^2...

Whenever someone came and argued that first person was no more immersive than third person, or that the game should be entirely in third person.

K^2 was the man.

Hell, guess I'll be the voice of dissention: I didn't enjoy K^2 as much. He was like a less creative, less female version of Scadvid. Just inferior in every way.

She was right in the end though, huh? :D :rasp: :p

Considering basically all of my fears were realised, we'll agree to disagree :)

Were they? For me DXHR is a mixed bag but overall good and far from what I feared at times.

As someone who couldnt even go past Detroit, i admit that i agree with 68_pie. I'm here for the community, i didnt like the game at all :|

Where's the Copypasta Thread? I cant find it. It was a jewel.

Here is a direct link. If anyone can find Tecman's collection of images he made about various people on the forums then post them here and there since that was perhaps my favourite moment.

The arguments were quite entertaining, people who never made a game or met Sheldon seemed to be the experts nevertheless.

CODEllite, still doubt his authenticity, he was like a cat amongst pigeons.

Omar too. This was funny to me, as it seems extremely non-DX for Denton to ever have merged with Helios.

I prefer the endings where society has to sort out the mess itself, rather an actual Deus Ex Machina appears.

Damned casual gamers, not clever enough to get past even the most basic parts of the game.

Zakka's meme thread (http://forums.eidosgames.com/showpost.php?p=1562959&postcount=1) was a hoot.

pff where to begin?

The release of the CGI trailer which really catapulted my interest and made me join the forum
The leaked gameplay footage from E3. I remember PMing people with downloadlinks.
Copypasta thread

The beta build leak was also very exciting. It was basically a huge demo.

All those discussions about conspiracies, with Dead-Eye was it?

+1 to all the big trailers etc.

Personally, getting PM's from mods because I wasn't taking things very seriously / generally being a little ****

Endless discussions on how this game is going to suck from people who insist on hanging around regardless :P

Awwww... I'm so glad that CopyPasta hasn't died, at least in memory.

I really need to update it someday with my own post-release issues about the game. I originally thought to start a separate thread for post release, but I rarely show up here anymore for various reasons, and am not up on too much of the same ol' same ol' discussions/arguments about the game after release.

Maxx: Well...there...really weren't any. So not much for you to get up to speed about. :)

Yes yes, we love you too. :D
