Have you guys noted that in open spaces, like streets, the hitman's series fails in order to model of persons, generating dozens of clones... in short ruining the realism of the game a little. I know this is just a detail, but annoying one. It would be awesome more characters in the streets in order to make the experience more realistic even :)

my evidence...

There will be much more variety in the full game and the crowds themselves will be much more realistic - this footage was pre-alpha so there has been loads of work that has already gone into improving what you saw in RFYL and more to come.

In fact, we're discussing this at GDC:

"In the Programming track, Kasper Fauerby of IO Interactive will explain how the studio designed and implemented Hitman: Absolution's crowd system.

In the aptly named "Crowds in Hitman: Absolution," Fauerby will discuss the system's design and implementation, giving attendees some insight into the benefits and complexities involved in creating believable and dynamic virtual crowds.

I hope you keep updating us with these links (if its no big trouble) as there is no news on the major 3 sites (IGN, Gamespot, Kotaku) and I really dont want to miss out on anything.

It'd be great if you keep a thread strictly for the news. Also is it possible to view a video of the talk at GDC?

Thanks and Happy New year! :D

A thread strictly for news could work but it probably works best to have each piece of news in it's own thread. It's easier to manage and let's you see what's new a lot quicker.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that the GDC presentation won't go public but we're still planning that out. There might well be some reports or write-ups that come out of the event that we can update you with but that remains to be seen.

For the final time, patience is key before we really kick-start 2012 and you'll be seeing more and more of 47 on your favourite sites and in your favourite magazines!
