Im not trying to whine but patch right now is necesary for 360 version atleast. Im glad the game isnt buggy like FO3NW or anything BUT ammo drops (specificaly lack off) needs to be fixed. The game was said to support all types of gamestyles but right now I feel like stealth, vent crawling is favored way too much with unfair amount of xp awarded for it. Takes all the fun out playing the game agressive robocop style  . Also on 360 even on normal dificulty guards are way too sensitive on their patrols even when quicly switching from cover to cover they spot u right away SO even when u feel like playing it stealthlike the game makes too frustrating then fun. And whats the point of cover mechanic when it doesnt work in situations where u need it most. Will add more as I play but for now those seem like biggest issues to me. By the way the game is amazing so far. Best intro ever :)

MaceUk has a point. All you want to do is to Run 'n' Gun your way through.

Hahahaha this was to be expected...

There is plenty of ammo, just be sure to loot every corpse, check all drawers etcetera.

Im sorry if thats how u play games Zakka man :p as to me that would just break the immersive FLOW of the gameplay if I did it EVERY time. Sure I loot some corpses but for greater immersion I try to play as I would If I was actually reacting to such situation in real life. LOL who would stop to check every drawer when ur trying to survive a terrorist attack on your work place. Like watching a movie u just gotta keep going and react to stuff as best as you can as it happens. I also try not to reload mygames unless I die so as not to destroy THE FLOW

And this is exactly why we all tried to tell you that Deus Ex wouldn't be a game for you months ago. It's an RPG, not a CoD-alike shooter. The pace is meant to be slow and methodical, not a constant flow of action.

Actualy to me its a lot like a mix between Mass Effect and SC:Coviction (Mass Effect 2 being much slower paced of course) actualy and I loved both those games. ANd Im playing it exactly how I played those games so dont see a problem with how Im playing it. Im just not obsessivecompulsive about loot when playing like some RPG gamers.

So, lemme get this straight. You want Eidos to "patch" (basically redesign) the game to turn it into more of a classic shooter, change enemy AI and behaviour so you can pop out of cover in plain sight and they won't see you, and add more "ammo drops" because you can't be bothered to search corpses or explore for it (which begs the question, what do you consider "ammo drops" to be then?), because you want to be able to play like "Robocop" presumably without having yet played far enough to invest in the augmentations that allow you to do so? No thanks.

And when you say that you don't want a CoD clone, I have a little trouble taking you seriously considering your name is "CoDEllite" (and FYI "elite" only has one "l").

Please don't insult the genre by calling Mass Effect 2 an RPG. There was nothing RPG about that game. It was Gears of War with a dialog wheel. You didn't have to be "obsessive compulsive" about loot in ME2 because there was no loot to find aside from those f-ing thermal clips.

I'm in tears from laughing. As Zakka said this was to be expected from you. Now finally you have made my day because we already tried to explain what is DX for months and you still didn't understand it but now you will understand. :D
And NO, there is no need to increase ammo in the game, learn to shoot and not just spray like trigger happy CoD player.

the OP brings up some good points though, they have been brought up before but stealth seems way too favored though that has been brought up a bit before

Haha then shoot less and kill enemies in differenty ways. Use melee or crush their skulls by power-throwing a fridge at them

Because really, they won't patch the game to fill your needs :D

Hey simmer down bud no need to throw a hissy fit :nut: Break through walls was like the among first augs I got so I got at least far enough to use it to break into dusty attic in that warehouse boy the two gangbangers guarding it were in for a surprise. BUT real surprise came when I Icarus dropped down the unused elevator shaft to take out the rest of their buddies on the ground floor. Mr. Sarif was very pleased at the end of that day

If you want to run and gun, you have to be prepared for it:
- Buy some more ammo
- Get the right augs as to not die right away.
- If the guards spot you, that's not the game being faulty, it's you being clearly visible to the enemy.

You're complaining about a lack of ammo because you don't loot or explore enough. There's the problem with playing it like ME and SC:C.

I got no problem with exploring Ash but DO I really need to loot EVERY single corpse to have enough ammo REALLY? Just seems like a lack of foresight on part of developers. Not everybody going to play this game like loot-obsessed stealth junky. What about that 4 ways to play video they put out earlier? Dont get me wrong I absolutely LOVE the game so far BUT it feels a little bit like false advertising to me. At least some of us newer fans of the game got duped (just a little bit :) ) by the trailers

The whole roll from cover to another really doesn't make you invisible, nor should it. The ammo was never a problem, but I like my headshots.

What's so hard about looting corpses? I don't know how it works on the 360 but on the PC it's click click done! You're too lazy for even that?

There is so much stuff you can do to gain and preserve ammo

-buy ammo
-loot corpses
-explore

Preserve ammo:
Aim for the head and don't waste ammo
-Be sure to have multiple guns at all times, this way you will have different types of ammo and can always switch to another weapon.
-use melee
-use fridges.
-hack security bots to attack enemies.
-use those nades effectively
-use those explosive barrels effectively

WELL whatever its faults Human Revolution is probably the most challenging (even on normal) yet still fun game I played in a long time. So major kudos to Eidos Montreal for making it happen. But just saying that a few gameplay elements could be balanced to give smoother gameplay experience overall

Haha this thread made my day.

Are you that lazy to not loot corpses? Don't you loot corpses in CoD?

This is not a straight up shooter, so since the focus of the game is not primarily shooting, the game won't be throwing full ammo in your face every 5 minutes. If you want to play it as a shooter, you can, just will need to loot corpses and use your ammo strategically instead of using "spray-and-pray".

CoDElite, you might want to be more considerate about the ammo you waste, not everybody needs to be killed. And next to all that, use the takedowns, they can save loads of ammo, even if you waste a few pips of energy.

Change your mindset to Deus Ex, not COD or any other twitch shooter. There's no spoon feeding you here, so if you tend to suck at this game, no biggie. Deus Ex isn't an easy game to play from the start anyways.

You can absolutely play in the 4 ways they presented: you can kill everyone, you can sneak by everyone, you can hack and you can socialise. No false advertising or duplicity there, the 4 pillars are properly represented.

But the fact that you can play the combat route doesn't mean you can run and gun like a maniac. You still have to aim well and think tactically, and loot ammo where you can get it. Playing the combat route doesn't mean you can ignore the RPG aspect of the game, nor should it.

So you want a patch for more ammo so you can run and gun as you would in "real life" ?,
If it were real:

1. You wouldn't have an unlimited supply of ammo on your person all the time.
2. Enemies may not have any ammo left after shooting at you.
3. Sooner or later you'd be forced to either scavenge for ammo or learn to take enemies out without using ammo at all.

Having said all that I have seen vids where enemies who haven't fired a shot will drop a gun that only has 2 or 3 bullets in it.

dude... you can play that way... you just have to be REALLY prepared, so go buy ammo get some dermaskin augs, and LOOT EVERY BODY

To be fair to him... hes not slagging the game off... And even the devs did say there is Four pillars of gameplay, if he chooses to immerse himself as Robocop/Trinity/Neo than thats his choice. And im sure some of you will be doing this on your 4th 5th and so on playthroughs anyway!

To be fair Codelite, I like you, but i think you are doing an injustice to console gamers in this thread. This is not a game you can run and gun in. You can be aggresive and use guns in cover but you cannot run and gun. If you played the first deus ex you would know this. I like cod and other such games but this is not anything like that. Slow your gameplay style down, monitor their patrols and pick moments you can take them down with no1 seeing. I loot everybody after i have stealthily taken them down and after the sarif manufacturing plant i have an abudance of ammo.
