Anyone figure out how to remove the obnoxiously unskippable intro logos? Or know the location/path of the files responsible?

How about killing subtitles? - I couldn't find it in any of the settings menus. I'm sure it's there... right?

Yeah I found that irritating too, some parts about DX:HR have left me disappointed, this is probably going in that list

The subtitle toggle is in the video options..

Actually it's under 'audio' options - I found it.

Now how about those intro movies - where are they located? Are there .bik files somewhere? I looked in the DX:HR folder under steamapps and I'm hoping the intro logos aren't hard coded in what few files are in there. Not much to be found in Documents or appdata etc..

If you figure out how to bypass the intro sequence do give the gift to the community

So, how do you open a .bigfile?

I've found how to unpack the bigfiles but haven't found how to repack them or where the logo files are yet.

If anyone is interested, PM me (in case discussing this is against forum rules).

Thankyou!!

And, Eidos, please patch the game so we can bypass the intros with a press of the esc key.

Right clicking game title on STEAM and choosing CREATE SHORCUT - loading game using this shortcut located on your desktop should remove all intro scenes.

Shortcut didn't work (and don't see how it could without some switches added).

Saloei, you've tried this and it has worked for you?

If so, could you please right-click the shortcut, go to properties and copy the contents of the "target" field and post the contents? That should show any switches used in the shortcut.

I don't understand how so much effort can be put into a game and something as ridiculous as this is overlooked. Esc, Enter, or Spacebar should always bypass the intro sequence if it automatically runs.

It's stuff like this that gets people looking for hacks.

Indeed, this is horrid if it were just one logo it might be okay but you've got to wait for half a dozen.

I already bought the game, you don't need to advertise it to me again.

Or are you trying to remind me each time I load the game, what companies like to pull this obnoxious BS.

If you find the solution, share ! I can't stand these ads at the game start. I own a PC, not a PS3 ! I want to skip them !

You have to download a different patch0.000 (of 33,323kb instead of 28,076).

Worked for me like a charm :D

Thanks, works for me too!

I've unpacked both versions of patch0.000 and compared the contents to see what has changed.

The patched file is a couple of MB larger with the same number of files (35).

The size difference is due to the following file being changed:
\default\pc-w\globaloutershell.drm

Original size is 2,861,740
Modified size is 8,236,476
