Alright here is the deal:

I'm running Windows 7 and I've recently tried to install Blood Omen and get it to work, without success. When I run it without fixes, it crashes when launched. With the Cubanraul fix it goes to the menu, but then it crashes as soon as a cutscene comes and with the Bink support fix it works, but it skips the cutscenes (and I want those cutscenes >.<)

Any suggestions?

Make sure you copy all the custences inside their folder BEFORE you patch the game with the bink support :)

yes I think I did that wrong, but where are the cutscenes then and in which folder should I copy them?

in the subfolder KAIN should lie original jam-files! (their extension is .jam, copy all of them)

okay, I cannot find those damned jam-files >.< and under the KAIN folder I've only got the Pill.big file, so more clarification would be useful...

Alright guys I think I fixed it. What I did is use the Cubanraul installer to install Blood Omen from the CD rather than first install Blood Omen and then with Cubanraul. This time I also kept the name of the game folder KAIN, rather than change it to Blood Omen...

Hey, sorry I'm kinda new but where do you get this Cubanraul patch? The origional BO is the only LoK I havn't played and I got ahold of an old copy and am really looking forward to it.

Cool, so I just download that thing and it installs from the disk right?

*EDIT - Got it running, but the cutscenes have messed up colors.

It seems that the cutscenes are distorted while playing on Windows7, all the animations and everything are correct but the colors are horribly off. kainthevampirelord (http://kainthevampirelord.deviantart.com/journal/28157629/) said he had the same problem and thinks it's because of Windows7 itself. Would anyone over here know of a way around this problem?

Sorry to keep being a pain. I tried using the bink converter and it wouldn't work. I selected the same folder the files were in but I kept getting error messages. I wouldn't think so but should they go in a different folder?
