View Full Version : Missing code.

So today i got e-mail from Nosgoth team and this is what i found inside:

And now there is my two question:
1. Is this for real? I mean, cool but i kinda sucked during alpha. E-mail adress looks legit but maybe i got this by accident?
2. If this is legit, then who i have to cantact regarding the [CODE] thing istead of... well... code.

I was considering making a post about this, but got lazy. Seeing how this is already here I'll go ahead and say my part.

I pretty much got the exact same e-mail that also only says [CODE]. Was expecting a second mail within minutes with the actual code added, but seeing as this is only sent to 50 people I suppose there's not enough people complaining for them to notice that quickly.

To check if its legit, see where the links lead you, if they lead to a none official link (easy to tell) then its fake.
If its real then contact them through support about it
they have a live chat system also you can use.

Here is the list of the top 50 players: http://www.nosgoth.com/blog/livestream-from-psyonix-today-top-50-closed-alpha-players-closed-beta-launch-time

I'm not sure if it's a legitimate email as I would have thought you would have been contacted a while ago...you are all on the list though! There are a few scams circulating so it's best being cautious.

Hopefully someone official will post here soon to say if it is or not...

Hi all,

After investigating the email myself, I can confirm that it is genuine. The safe email you can add is noreply@xmail.eu.square-enix.com and all the links within the email are safe to click as long as they include http://uman.eu.square-enix.com/tracker.php? at the start.

That said, I have no idea why there isn't a real code included in the email. If you have not done so already, please contact our official support site explaining you have received your Top 50 Beta Code email, but it just states "[CODE]" for the code:

I hope this helps,

I just recieved a follow up regarding this.

"Hi Diexna,

Apologies for the double mailing: something went wrong last time, and we have mistakenly sent you an empty message with no invite codes.

As a reward for being one of the top 50 players in the Nosgoth Closed Alpha, here is a friend invite for you - this time for real!"

With a proper code included. Matter resolved!
