I am considering updating my PC in order to play Nosgoth on max settings, so I'd appreciate if those of you who already can play smoothly using the highest settings would share your specs here with the rest of us. This information can come in handy to all those who are thinking of upgrading their machines. http://forums.eidosgames.com/images/icons/icon14.gif

Well, show us what you've got! http://forums.eidosgames.com/images/icons/rolleyes.png

This is very good information. We all want to get the best possible performance for less money, and this kind of input is precious, being based on personal experience with the game itself. Keep 'em coming, people! :)

When ever there is smoke or fire, i drop in frame rates, which is really odd and shouldn't happen tho...
I couldn't figure it out so I just deal with it.

This is because it is probably produced with Particle Effects and they can be very taxing on a system, it's pretty common.

I see that most of you have higher class rigs, pretty much out of my reach at the moment. Do keep sending in your specs, that helps us see what goes well with what and essentially helps provide the optimum gaming experience for Nosgoth players! http://forums.eidosgames.com/images/icons/icon14.gif

I have FX-6300@4.2GHz, 2x4GB DDR3 1333MHz and GTX 660 2GB. I can't see fps because something's wrong with MSI Afterburner, but I'd say 60fps all the time, it looks and feels really, really smooth. Everything maxed @1080p, exept anti alias off - don't see any jaggies, tho. It looks like the game uses 4 CPU cores and I noticed it makes both CPU and GPU really hot. Hope this helps.

I can't see fps

You have to check it during a match. Go to video settings in the menu and it will pop-up.

Yes, this is pretty close to what I've got at the moment, though I run it on Low. However, we're looking for those rigs which smoothly MAX out Nosgoth. Preferably but not necessarily more affordable configurations are of particular interest. http://forums.eu.square-enix.com/images/icons/icon3.png

i7-4930K 3.4 - 3.9 Ghz

Gtx 680 4gb

16 gb

Runs perfectly smooth on customized max settings with motion blur on,however like iGorillah said, the game seems to heat your gpu/cpu. Probably memory leak.

OS: Windows 8.1 ~something
CPU: i7 4770K @ 4.2 GHz
MOBO: MSI Z87 G45
GPU: Asus Geforce GTX 770
RAM: 16 GB @1600 MHz

No issues with heat on either CPU, GPU or system.
Runs at 60+ fps, but I run with VSYNC, because you can't see a difference between 60 and 100.
Only max graphics.
If you have heat problems, I suggest modifying fan temperature, or improving case airflow.

I run max great. I am getting 70-90 FPS with multisampling x8. No crashes or anything. I would definitely turn off motion blur when I a vampire. Makes easier to see, especially if you have 120hz monitor.

…apparently me  I finally remembered about this thread when bumming around with my controls last night (sorry – forgot for ages) – and thought – I’ll go change the settings and put it to max and see if it works…and well apparently I’ve always had it on max  so I turned it down to medium to see the difference and it sucked – higher setting is so much more pwetty :D

System specs…
Win 8, Intel Core i7-4700MQ Processor (2.4 GHz, 3.4 GHz with TurboBoost, 6 MB cache), 12 GB DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M 2 GB

…now I've got to remember to turn the settings back up...which will probably take me another month to do :p :)

Well, at least we got you to realize you have been viewing Nosgoth in all it's HD glory! :D

I didn't think the difference would be that obvious between Medium and Higher settings. Good to know. :)

Thanks for contributing, Lucin! http://forums.eidosgames.com/images/icons/icon14.gif

Yes I am indeed very grateful :D

There probably isn’t really much difference unless you notice things like textures/details – it just looked a bit flat rather than solid…might have just been my mind playing tricks on me though and there might be no difference! I don’t know if it makes a difference my laptop has LED 1080p screen and I have it also plugged into my LCD HD TV.

This is my configuration:

Motherboard: Gigabyte X58A-UD7 LGA 1366
RAM: 6 GB DDR3 tripel channel
Processor: Intel i7-950 quad core 3.06GHz
Videocard: AMD (ATI) Radeon HD 3500 512MB RAM

Game is running very good at high settings, only the map Sommerdam has sometimes hitches and lag. No problems with the other maps.

The answers given are a nice guide, I'm considering the R9 270x for sure. I'll probably be pairing it with the FX-6300 and 8GB of RAM.

Do continue posting your own specs, it really helps make the best Nosgoth rig. :)
