Thanks to Ashpolt for this thread idea. :thumb:

It was suggested that the tagline "DISCOVER THE WORLD OF TOMORROW" could be improved.

Let's go with this idea and use this thread to make suggestions.
Serious or funny, it doesn't matter. Anything goes, seeing as this is just for fun (but you never know... ;) ).

This thread wasn't created because someone didn't like the title. It's just to make use of the idea and enjoy a little light-hearted fun around here; if people wish. It's nothing to be taken too seriously.

"The world as a whole has grown up..."

"The future of humanity is not so greenlight..."

But seriously, I think "It's not the end of the world, but you can see it from here" would work well. It's not exactly snappy, but I think it tells you a lot more about the tone of the game than the clichéd and somewhat campy "Discover the world of tomorrow." Even if I could look past the Futurama association (which I really can't, dammit!) it'd still just remind me of the old black and white "informationals" from the 50s, showing us how we'd all have flying cars and colonies on the moon by 1970.

"Yevgeny! Where is Yevgeny?" would add some aura of mystery.

Or you could use another famous quote which would surely boost the sales. You could use "Shaaake it!" and change the title into Deus Sex (Anyone here remembers the magazine in Anachronox's Red Lights District?). Then even takedowns would work, goingdowns would work...

A quote from Voltaire fits more into an 17th-18th century view of rationalism than it does into a renaissance-like theme of rebirth, or humanism that DX:HR seems to be about.

I agree, it almost has too positive of a spin on it. Cyberpunk has always been a grimy/dirty/bleak vision of the future.

Which is why my favorite "serious" tagline would be: "You cannot stop the future."

A new idea came to my mind. I second the "I never asked for this" tagline and suggest a picture like that below

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Iizzxt5F7wM/Rx5JdiwLi2I/AAAAAAAAA18/DpzNGlyT2gY/s320/SCOrganicLemonLime.jpg

Edit: However, if you like my old ideas, here is a small elaboration on them.
If you decide to use the Yevgeny tagline, you could promote the game with a flash game "Where is Yevgeny" the-Where-is-Waldo style.
http://blog.media-freaks.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/where-waldo.jpg

If you decide that you want your sales skyrocket and stick to the DeuSex name, here's a new proposition that will again have some reflection in the trailers.
Just use "I will never stop looking" and this picture below:
http://www.nanoaugur.net/dx3/t8.png

Uh, and sorry for the last immature one, I just couldn't resist :D

Or... hmh... "What is humanity going to look like in the future?"
