I bought an Asus G73JH laptop. It can run everything I throw at it except MW2 and JC2. It starts to launch then it gets the display driver has been recovered error. I run windows 7 x64. I have tried multiple fixes such as:

1.) Audio drivers - I installed and uninstalled, disabled completely, renamed to "Stereo"
2.) Display drivers - I have the ATI 5870 Mobility Radeon, the latest drivers, DX11 installed.
3.) I'm not overclocking, and the laptop stays cool, heat is not an issue.
4.) AA - tried to disable the AA through the catalyst manager, then the whole display corrupts and I have to reinstall the manager to get it to work again correctly.
5.) I uninstalled and reinstalled with the same results.
6.) I run the game as administrator with no change in result.
7.) I tried windowed mode, result is the same - wont black screen then crash.

I'm finally breaking down and creating a thread.

Well, a UK spokesperson told the company that they're considering both an entry-level "budget" version as well as a premium version, with the former costing around £100 (roughly $165). Unfortunately it's not yet clear whether this price point would be for the kind of device described above or a more basic version, similar to the Kindle. The report indicates that the cheaper version is likely take on the competition on price rather than features.

Either you posted this on the wrong thread, or you are suggesting that I play Just Cause 2 on a "basic" Kindle.
