7GB's for PC? Bloody hell, does that mean the console version will be similar? Sorry, 7GB seems to be quite high but then again I'm not sure!:D

As for the screenshots it look quite cool!

Great to know. Thank you Chriss. :)

Cool shots of the tomb parts we've already seen but Lara and Totec doing different stuff. Looks like teh game might be open to some free thinking then. And new parts of the tomb looking nice too. The bottom one reminds me of the Damocles room in TR:A. :)

It has already been mentioned by jaywalker on tombraiderforums.com (http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showpost.php?p=4574228&postcount=75) it will not be 7Gb. Steam are just basing their assumption on what TRU needed, nothing official has been released about the PC requirements yet. You can get unmarked versions of the screenshots from Steam (http://store.steampowered.com/app/901454/).

Thanks for putting these pics up Chriss99. They do look really good. Was a bit shocked by the 7GB thing but think GOL might end up being less than that.

Ok let's see..... complaints about a TR game being 'too large'??????

would you rather it be 3gb? 2gb? 1gb?

individual space issues on a pc aside, i'd rather the game be as large as they care to make it.

I can see why people were a bit shocked. If this small spin-off game (which can apparently be completed in a couple of hours) was larger in file size compared to a full retail game, it would have seem quite odd.

Also seeing as it's a downloadable game also available on Xbox Live Marketplace and PSN... I think Ants_27_ caught on the fact that the file size seemed to big for those online services. For example I know that for XBL the max file limit is about 2GB, so to hear that the game is 7GB didn't make much sense. :)

@lilhanhan - it did shock me due to the fact as you said online services usually having limits of say something like 2GB. And yes, I agree with what you said!

But not only that those who have PS3 and have the default hard drive may struggle, especially when some games on the PS3 require an start up install... ranging up to around 7GB.

If its unofficial then I can understand but how long would it take those with low Internet speeds to download?

I'm not very good when it comes knowing how long it is to download things seeing as it all depends on your area and provider; but I guess it can be a ridiculous amount of time if you have low internet speed. I have noticed though, while doing a quick google search that there are websites which allow you to do a broadband speed tests but I don't know how effective they are.

Also, while doing some research on this matter I've found out that the file size of the GTA DLC's are in fact 2GB each (the max size allowed on XBL). So I don't think LCatGoL is going to 7GB, especially if those two spin-offs combined are only 4GB in size.

EDIT- Also according to Xbox Live Marketplace "Lara’s Shadow" was only 1 GB and Beneath the Ashes was only 976 MB, so surely this game can't be 7GB! I hope so anyway...

I'm not to well up on all that stuff either... But I suppose it'd take quite a while!

Also, considering the DLC for GTAIV will probably be superior in terms of technology... So I'd expect that to be around 5GB, so if rockstar can do it I'm sure Crystal can:D

P.S. I didn't mean that in a bad way towards GOL either...

Just to clarify - LCGoL will be substantially less than 5GB on consoles. Right now I'm not sure where the 5GB figure for PC came from but I'm looking into it and will bring some clarification on the issue soon!

Superior technology or not dlc on XBL still as far as I know has to fit within the 2Gb size limit, so any future GTA DLC is not going to be 5Gb

Yeah, but what I mean is that if there was no limit I'd expect GOL to fall between 1-2GB wereas GTAIV I would expect it to fall around the 5GB mark. My point was just merely that if a little side game coming to 7GB is just stupid!:nut:

@Keir - Glad to hear, though I did have doubts about it being 7BG but still its good to know.:D
