What exactly is the nosgoth logo supposed to be or represent? It's just something that crossed my mind suddenly when I was looking at the founder packs again.

If you mean the broken up circle logo which is also the badge symbol for the Immortal founder's pack (see images below)

The logo/symbol represents the Pillars of Nosgoth (http://legacyofkain.wikia.com/wiki/Pillars_of_Nosgoth).

Ah so it is the pillars, I was leaning towards that but I only counted eight. I totally forgot about the one in the center.

The design is based off of the platform (http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs40/i/2009/016/c/1/Pillars_of_Nosgoth_by_HANxOPX.jpg) of the pillars themselves, here is a diagram (http://www.dark-chronicle.co.uk/sr2/platformbig.php) to help.

Aye, the logo would indeed represent the design on the pillars platform (above ground) that has been used throughout (http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120804142800/legacyofkain/images/a/a8/BO1-Map0063-Sect00-PillarsOfNosgoth.png) the series (http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130414023702/legacyofkain/images/3/3e/SR2-Pillars-Pillars4-Top-Material-EraA-Corrupted.png) - incidentally one of the things that gave Nosgoth away over a year ago was the presence of that familiar symbol; and of course the pillars themselves are collapsed at this time in Nosgoth's history.

I will clarify that the Pillars platform diagram (http://www.dark-chronicle.co.uk/sr2/platformbig.php) provided above refers to the underground pillars platform in the Subterranean ruins/Subterranean Pillars Chamber, which does not feature the logo design, but this one instead (http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20101129005612/legacyofkain/images/c/c5/SR2-SubterraneanPillarsDias.jpg), which represents the purification of the Scion of Balance (Kain), as seen in Defiance.
