so when you say you cant run the demo , i take it that you have installed it ok , when you try to start the demo in steam, it say or does what ?

# do you get a crash to desktop ?
# does it start at all ?
# do you get an error ? if so what's the error ?
# does it start, but then close for no reason ?

The first thing that always comes to my mind is making sure the video drivers are up to date.

Which card? You've got a Radeon 3650 but if he's got a Radeon 4850 it's a huge difference
The 3650 isn't a particularly fast card and I wouldn't be surprised if you had to drop down to low to get stuff as smooth as you'd like, although I don't have any actual experience of it with the JC2 demo.

AMD phenom II quad 955 3.4ghz
6 gig DDR3 1600
XFX ATI Radeon 4890 XXX edition 1 gig vram
WD SATA Raptor 1TB

gets an average FPS of 92 @ 1680x1050 everything maxed. Your system looks underpowered imho.

Dude, this isn't a thread to brag about your system.

Back on topic, Bokito, I suggest waiting until the new line of Nvidia cards come out, then picking up a GTX 260. They will be very cheap then, probably in the way of about $130-150.

i wasn't bragging (but im glad you think my system is brag worthy)
i was comparing my system to his and showing why he's getting sub par performance.

95% of your graphics performance is in your video card.
